Is a career path from scheduler to trader difficult?

Getting your foot in the door isn't impossible. The shop I work for has ads up looking for *inexperienced* people at the moment...

Yeah, should've clarified.... Bottom line is... indicies update every few seconds... futures update everytime a trade takes place...

    Tna/tza

Futures might lead sometimes. The indicies don't update instantly, there are a couple of seconds delay from tick to tick. Futures prices update everytime a trade takes place.

    Time Needed to Receives Wires

With think or swim (which uses penson) , most times they are credited the next day, sometimes same day. MB sucks bigtime. I couldn't believe they got such high ratings in Barrons as a broker. The main reason was because of their "web platform" . Go ahead, ask them where to login to the web...

    Nodal Exchange (NEX)

Yeah, but you have DC as a big player in nodal. They do a ton in the FTR market, which is basically what NEX is (there are a couple of subtle differences though). The algo that calculates clearing prices makes my head spin with all the permutations possible. I have my doubts about...

    Some Energy Hints from Bone

NI Hub Fin 1 x 8 for today going to settle around -60 to -75 . Ain't that something. 1 x 8 for tomorrow was around 6-7 bucks. Had to call the Ice to ask them to enable negative bids/offers on the outright. Haha.

How does one become an Energy Trader?

I don't believe Nymex officially has a platform for power. Last I heard they were trying to put it up on Globex, but with the intricacies of all the different strips, it just seems like a nightmare logistically. Amerex just launched their energymatch platform which offers STP and if you...
