Seems like the 1147 level doesn't want to give, but if it does, LOOK OUT BELOW!! No volume here, looks like everyone calling it a day. Time to start celebrating Columbus Day here in the USA!! :p

    Steve Jobs just died

Exactly, one doesn't need to create, only to encourage consumption of the creation. It's working wonderfully for the Chinese.

    Steve Jobs just died

Wrong, it's the drivers of cars that cause the deaths. I have yet to see a report of a vehicle causing a death without being operated by a human being. Also, Ford did not invent the automobile, the same way Jobs did not invent the computer. They found ways to market them in a way that...

    Steve Jobs just died

That's funny right there!! :D Jobs' genius seemed to be more on the marketing side of the business, as he was great at reading consumers and their spending habits. Perhaps that's why so many are mourning his passing, as he succeeded so wildly at getting them to consume the Apple product line...

A notice to the wet behind the ear fresh HS grads.

My son in fourth grade was doing a paper with alliterative sentences using fruits. When I suggested the word "tomato" he gave me a look of horror and replied that he would get an automatic "F". You see, his college educated, Master's degree holding teacher INSISTS that a tomato is a...

I understand. I was just asking because on big swings like we've had so far, it would be difficult for me to feel comfortable calling a bottom of a range to go long. I'm sitting on my hands so far, and eating a bowl of cereal.

Seeing as how we went from the 50's to the 70's and back to the 50's, where would you say the "bottom of the range" is? Just curious...

We need a guy like Kramer to run for President. He's got energy, and knows how to deal with adversity. :p

I have a son who is a high school senior with a great GPA and awesome test scores. He can't get a job making minimum wage, because they're being taken by guys my age (and older). His only hope is to get a degree in a field that is in demand. Problem is that by the time he graduates, those...

Having been born in the Motor City and spending almost the full first year of my life there, I have suddenly become a diehard Tigers fan. Especially since the Dolphins suck, and have since I started shaving (early 80's). Hell if the Tigers make it to the Series I might even buy a hat...

How 'bout this: Don't get a woman preggers unless SHE is financially secure. It's working for Ashton Kutcher, and that tall dude that married Kim Cardigan. :p
