eSignal wish list : the dedicated thread

Yes, I have noticed the same. Sub-minute charts and tick charts have become unreliable. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.:( Very frustrating.

what's so good about Trade Prospector?

Have been using TPRT for several months now. IMHO it is one of the "most useful" trading softwares out there (no, it does not have 286 technical indicators - that you don't use anyway). It offers some good features for the emini trader. Also for the options trader! Their support is very...

    Any daytraders from Florida?

As I said earlier, I live in Tampa. Used to live in So. CA (Los Angeles, Palm Springs). I love the water and warm, tropical weather. Best places on the west coast of FL are Sarasota (planning to move there is a yr or so), Naples (little boring place, very expensive real estate, lots of wealthy...

    Day/S-T Trading w/ Options

It was different during the bubble when the underlying stock moved 20-30 bucks intraday and the options moved huge (in terms of %). Nowadays, it is a different game. I do trade the SPX options frequently - but definitely NOT every day. Have Fun Trading!:p

    slippage of FTSE100 futures

The FTSE futures are extremely illiquid compared to ES. Why bother at all? Why not trade the EuroStoxx50? Just my $0.02

Anyone trading the DJ Eurostoxx 50?

I have been actively trading it. 3:00am - 2:00pm EST. A lot more fun than trading ES. Fewer jumping around, it moves like a freight train - likes to keep going in one direction. Liquidity is not an issue on average days (more liquid than our NQ, and sometimes more liquid than ES). It can move...

Ask Ralph Acampora what he thinks - and go in the opposite direction. 100% success ratio for you!:D :D :D

    Legal templates

Of course not. It can cost a lot of money to set up a hedge fund the RIGHT way. And nobody is willing to give their paperwork away. (I know, I run my own hedge fund). If you try a Prime Broker - they are willing to help and direct you to three of their preferred attorneys (you make your...

    I'm capitulating

We are in a bubble again ("anti-bubble", just the opposite of the big runup 2 yrs ago). I'd like to see more "irrational exuberance" on the downside. We are close imo! When CNBC teaches the retail people about how to short stocks and profit during a decline - well, that says it all. (They...

    DOW Mini's....who'da thunk it

Forgot these: Euro Stoxx is very liquid - 1.5 - 2x the volume of NQ. The DAX futures is a a LOT less liquid, crazy, buyers/sellers chasing each other. But pays well. FTSE futures very illiquid. Hope this helps.

    DOW Mini's....who'da thunk it

I have been actively trading it for several months with good results. Reminds me of NQ during the bubble. Less franticthan today's ES/NQ, less jumping around, kind of trendy. just keeps going in one direction - the herds seem to be liking it. :D It trades on the Eurex starting at 3am EST. I...

Who is your favorite permabull to ridicule?

Joe Battipaglia with his secret strategy ("BUY! BUY! BUY!"). But the biggest clown is the most usable one: Ralph Acampora. He has a miraculous sense of going long at the top and getting bearish at the bottom. I still remember his press conference when he announced that he was just...

They do it frequently (how about those well-timed deadzone walkups when everybody else is out to have lunch, just happened today). Easiest money on Earth. And they call it "Fair and Orderly Markets". What a bs!

    DIA options extended hours?

You can trade them pre-market too. But watch those bid/ask spreads - sometimes 60-80% wide (eg: $0.80 - $1.40) - you have zero chances! After Enron and Wcom, these guys should be the next one!
