    Option market opening process

The answer is not that simple. There are 16 US option exchanges. Each has their own opening process. But to make a short answer, most of them wait for the underlying to open before triggering the opening of the corresponding option. And to identify the opening of the underlying, they wait for...

Who to listen to at ET?

Comparing Forex with stock trading is like comparing apple to orange. Comparing free comm in Forex with free comm in stock is like comparing apple to orange.

Are there verifiable TA strategies with high win-rate?

The % win rate use alone has no significance. You can have a strategy with a 97% win rate and still losing money. You can have a strategy with a 30% win rate and making tons of money. [Win rate] + [R:R] is what you should be looking for.

Are there verifiable TA strategies with high win-rate?

TA is only a tool, it's not a strategy by itself. With an hammer, anybody can build a house. But only a few have the ability to do it.

    Index futures scalping

I agree that we can disagree. Besides, I've never said that I was successful. And if I would be, I'd have no motivation to prove it. I come here mainly for entertainment, not to boost my ego.

    Index futures scalping

With all due respect, you come here for advice, and all you do with what other posters is giving you is exactly the contrary..... I suspect that you don't want advice but recognition and respect from what you have achieved so far. If it's the case, then good job and keep going what you do and...

    Index futures scalping

Sorry, but no, no, no and no. You need bigger wins and smaller losses, not more wins than losses. Win rate by itself means nothing (except maybe give you the illusion that you are making money, until you don't!). Getting a high win rate is very easy (I can give you losing strategies with 97%...

Is there anything i can do to get around the PDT rule?

Rules are not there to prevent retail traders from making money. They are there to prevent them to disappear. Less retail traders means less money for the big players. Don't ask why PFOF is so attractive for the ones paying for it. When rules are put in place, they don't ask to moms and dads...

Is there anything i can do to get around the PDT rule?

It was a rule that has been put in place to prevent 'small' retail traders to blow up their account. The key is to keep them alive as long as possible. Cause if they blow up too soon, they will no longer participate in the market (paying fees and comm + get on the wrong side). Pros of all kind...

Pause Trading in December to clear wash sale?

In Canada, when you day-trade and/or actively trade, your gain/loss is not considered as a capital gain/loss. It's considered as a regular income. Taxes are different. Capital gain is only 50% taxable (up to a max).

    Index futures scalping

This part, is the flaw in your strategy. You will win 19, 29 or 39 in a row, but that one loss with wipe out all your gain. Because at some point, you will have to take the loss, and it will be big. Even with 97% win rate strategy, you will lose. When you find a strategy that seems to be...

Pause Trading in December to clear wash sale?

Not sure cause it mentions capital loss, and profit/loss from day-trading is not considered as such (at least in Canada!). But maybe it's different in the US.

Pause Trading in December to clear wash sale?

I don't know anything about US tax laws, but to me, wash sale doesn't apply to day-trading. But I'm not an expert, so I might be completely wrong.
