not only that but the VIX traded down on the day, i.e. it closed LOWER than its opened. Pretty wierd stuff. fwiw...I disagree about the VIX being worthless, I think the VIX has very good value as a secondary market opinion. Everyone trades differently and that's fine but I love the VIX.

this was a great day for using market profiling. when I saw the up volume head above 82%, it was easy to figure we would close at or very near the high of the day.

I don't see why that approach would be so unlikely. As humans mature, their values and goals change. Once your financial needs have been met, why would giving something back to the world be so unlikely?

as a day trader i exit once my profit target is hit. My approach is to pocket the cash and get out. I try not to get greedy. If the market trends strongly, then you can always get back in for another trade.
