RB - for a person with your good intelligence, you sure waste a lot of time with negatives. Do you really think that all this negative energy helps your trading? Does it help anyone here at ET? What's the real point?

    VIX down 13.6% today

I would expect this to work in most any market - It's only a short term (10days) trading system. I must admit though, that I haven't researched this past my small sample size. I don't have access to historical VIX data. Anybody want to step up and look at this from a long term...

    VIX down 13.6% today

Only lost 13 points on my trade so far!!:) I'm willing to give it some more time. However, it may soon be time to consider a graceful exit strategy and take a mild loss. Today's sell off was disappointing considering Crude Oil was down over 2%. And after droping 13% yesterday, the...

    Today's big up move

    VIX down 13.6% today

The VIX index closed at 13.50, down by 13.6% from today's open of 15.63. According to my figures, this marks only the 7th time in the past 2 years that the index has gone down by 10% or more in a single day. All of the other 6 times proved to be good buying opportunities as the S&P was...

    Good time to short oil?

Anybody see today's rise in oil prices as a good chance to short? No one really has any idea where this tropical storm Wilma will go. Odds seem unlikely that it could strike the oil producing sections of the western gulf because of the current upper level westerly wind pattern...

Speculation is gambling only if you believe that markets are completely ramdon. I don't. Don't confuse risk taking with gambling.
