    I'm done trading. I FAILED

Going back for a job is the best you can do to recover your losses safely and hopefully quickly. Psychologically it helps to regain confidence to start out for another try at the same entry level. I notice on myself that a losing day is like feeling the market owes me something (yet again) and...

    Starting Over ..............

Gift, may I ask how you got started in the business that you're in now and what business it is? 10k isn't very much indeed (especially from your current perspective) so I guess you must have been very desperate and worried to get meals on the table. Therefore it was simply a wise and obligatory...

    Volume analysis

You have to see volume as an ongoing process. When long, you would prefer INCREASING volume while the stock makes new highs to make sure there's still enough participation at those price levels and lower volumes at down days (or minutes whatsoever, depending on the time frame). But on the...

    Anyone buying this little dip?

I imagine you wake up in the morning and draw up the day's chart so the market can trade according to it.

Robert Rubin, Citibank: “There are no plans to cut the dividend.”

The stock yes, for now. But not the company behind.

Robert Rubin, Citibank: “There are no plans to cut the dividend.”

I initiated my long position today (but not intending to further accumulate for a while). It's supposed to be a position that keeps me reminded of the stock price. The sub-prime mess or any financial turmoil for that matter is not going to rattle Citigroup out of existence so as long as the...

Robert Rubin, Citibank: “There are no plans to cut the dividend.”

ASusilovic, are you intending to go long anytime soon? I'm toying with the idea of buying step by step the more the stock drops. Citi is not going bankrupt!

He sold out entirely (and has missed the recent rally).

    Mazda Motors

Why not buy the stock directly at the Tokyo Stock Exchange? Code 7261 http://quote.yahoo.co.jp/q?s=7261.t&d=t May I ask what makes it a compelling investment? The chart looks good and seems to have left the downtrend since beginning of 2007. I also read they reported very upbeat earnings...

Video Diary of Direct Access Stock Trading. Low risk modest consitent profits

Is there a specific strategy you are following? You mention Harvey Walsh sometimes, but as far as I'm concerned he trades quite differently. The trades you take often are not patterns I would favor. So I guess you mostly go by experience and intuition?

SYNA -i am long and holdin

Looks like a solid investment. I usually don't trade gap ups right off the bat. But I'm favoring an entry and hope to build up a position at $58, or so. Fundamentals and company future are very favorable.

    Pattern Day Trader question.

Some of you are correct. It is exactly one trade. The definition of "trade" is not the transaction itself where you pay commission, but it is the action of initiating a new position. Thus, opening and closing a position within the same day will reduce your "day trades left" by 1. Whether you...

    Crox=Massive manipulation

I'm considering a long entry and observing the stock for a few more days and see how it behaves. Concentrating mostly on moving averages. Such a massive gap down usually isn't followed by a rally but might recover gradually if fundamentals support it. And I love its fundamentals. Moreover the...

What I ask myself is, how do you set an automatic stop with QuoteTracker right upon entry? I've searched their help but to no avail. I know IB's TWS offers attached orders.

A few more hours till ROFLMAO week!

A cut in rate usually is a commitment to a change in trend. I ask myself, why they cut a full 50 basis points back then. Most likely because they want to speed up things and I'd suggest there are more rate cuts at .25 in sight. I would find it odd if they stopped here; it simply wouldn't make...

    Dumb luck trade stories

It was June this year when I firmly believed the German DAX was about to collapse. I simply compared the charts of 1998 to 2007 and figured it rises and falls the exact same weeks. Convinced that the collapse was near I bought 5000 EUR worth of put options (the most speculative out-of-the-money...

Haha, fantastic. Does he trade strictly by your rules or did he trade his own way? That would interest me. He's probably free of fears to "push the button" without hesitation. It looks like QuoteTracker. What is this bottom indicator?
