    YAHOOOOOOOO ( going much lower?)

Also, YHOO finally closed above 30...I think I may go long some MAR 30 calls tomorrow, depending on the action...:D

    YES!!! Finally!!!

If it ends up breaking support at around 450ish, then it's really all over...:D

    GOOG earnings

There's a perfect double-top at 513. If it breaks this tomorrow and stays, I'd guess GOOG will continue to rally. If we get a sell off, there would probably be support at 450-ish...either way, buying after earnings might not be a bad idea, in moderation...:D

    AGIX today (and April calls)

I actually like the idea of an OTM long vertical spread. Back in the hype earlier this month, I had a long JAN 20/25 call spread that I paid .10 for when the stock was around $11. This was when those JAN 80's were selling. I figured risking .10 to make 4.90 was worth it, even understanding...

My simple, yet profitable trading strategy

How did you get to +$6280? I thought you were supposed to close out when you hit +$3000?

My simple, yet profitable trading strategy

traderich, Have you looked into splitting your list into % gainers AND % losers? In other words, short the top 3 losers, buy the top 3 gainers? I figure if your long strategy works on a big down day (how did you do yesterday??) then adding a short side might not hurt...I don't know, just...

    Equity Options Broker Comparison

I've been using TOS for about a year and a half, and I have no complaints. They are very willing to work with you on a commission schedule. Exercises / assignments are $15 per strike, regardless of # of contracts. I'm not a high volume guy though, so i'm sure they are more appropriate...

If I think AAPL is going to 100 by Feb. end, whats the best options play?

How about the 95/100/105 fly, if you really think AAPL will be pinned at 100...

This Will Destroy eBay - Guaranteed

Fiorina is probably not the best example, since she was fired and was considered by Wall St. to be driving HPQ into the ground. If women are considered to be worse at running companies than men, it's probably not due to a lack of brainpower. They just have to spend more of their energy...

    EBAY runup before earnings

Damn, of course I sold Feb 30 calls against my long-term calls about an hour before earnings! Oh well...

    Amd Big Loss

AMD pretty much breaks any support that it ever had at 16.90...although the cat was already out of the bag on this one. I think the after-hours might be a knee-jerk...

What's the name of this strategy?

Thanks optioncoach...do I need to subscribe to anything to get that chart? I was having trouble finding where to see that. Anyway, my intention on the strategy would be just to capture a piece of the increase in IV, selling into the buying frenzy that oftens seems to happen the day before...

What's the name of this strategy?

On the topic of straddles, has anyone gone long a straddle ahead of earnings (by just a few days) and just tried to play the IV spike? Buy three or four days before earnings on a big-name media-friendly stock (AAPL, EBAY, etc) and close the position the afternoon before earnings come. I guess...

    cramer 2007 pick(s)

I can go either way on Cramer. I watch his show, and read a bit of his book...but I also know that he's ultimately a showman that needs attention, for whatever reason. As far as his track record goes, I believe (someone confirm please) that his hedge fund averaged 24% annual returns after...

    AAPL lowers Q2 #'s

It's hard to believe that anyone will take Apple's own guidance too seriously...this is the company that had forecast earnings that was LOWER than what the analysts came up with...then beat that number by 50%. Why don't they just give guidance of .00 EPS?

    Aapl?

Yeah, I'm worried about the short term, but more bullish once you start talking about April. So I have a some long-term OTM vertical call spreads, and I went long on the JAN 95 / 90 put vertical for a little insurance, because I figure if AAPL goes down this week, it's gonna hit low 90's...
