How much do you REALLY make trading?

Maybe you are right about the poll. I don't know. But in my case, I am challenging a 22 yrd old with one screen, a cable modem, trading on 3 hrs sleep, who claims to make very consistently $15gs a week in 2003 in stocks. Very unlikely.

How much do you REALLY make trading?

oh ok. well as long as that is clear. So what you are trading moves roughly the same, with the same range and good volume, week in and week out (and year in and year out). No wonder you don't want to give up any information on these magic stocks.

How much do you REALLY make trading?

Ummm, just because people lose a given amount doesn' t mean it is equally possible for someone to MAKE that same amount. It is far easier to lose than to make money, especially with commissions and MMs or specialists. $15g a week, consistently, in 2003 isn't impossible, but it is extraordinarily...

How much do you REALLY make trading?

impressive. And yet you would rank among the top .1% of professional traders (maybe better), especially with the consistency you claim.

How much do you REALLY make trading?

And in many of these constests, contestants take the biggest gamble knowing that this gives them the best chance of winning one of these competitions sooner or later. Its like the NCAA pool. If the pool is big enough, the only way you will win is to pick several upsets and hope you pick the...

How much do you REALLY make trading?

Believing that some people are making a good living is easy. But when some people make claims here that would put them in an elite class OF an elite class of traders (even more so when considering claims of weekly consistency in making $15g in 2003), it must be taken with a huge shaker of salt.

How much do you REALLY make trading?

Umm, actually yes (although I would still assume that some weeks/months were better than others). Everyone i know of who has been trading for many years says this is the toughest they've EVER seen it (at least those who started in the last 15 yrs).

How much do you REALLY make trading?

Naive would be for someone to believe that you are making $15 g this year, on a very consistent, week-by-week basis.

How much do you REALLY make trading?

Last year is not this year. We're not talking about last year. I made waaaay more last year than this year. The thread was about what you're makign NOW!!! You said you're making $15g a week NOW. Is THIS what you want to bet on?

BTW, I almost make enough to get by. Thank goodness for 0% interest credit cards. Now I have till December for the market to get better or else I'll hope that I can get more 0% credit (to transfer balances and add to the debt). And thank goodness I have a long term plan, eh! :)

How much do you REALLY make trading?

Because I know or am acquainted with hundreds of traders, of all kinds of styles, including a great many who are among the very best, and to make that kind of money now is EXTRAORDINARILY rare! It is that much MORE rare (among the incredibly rare people who can make that kind of money nowadays)...

I'm glad, cause I think the chances are about 98% you are seriously exaggerating or totally full of it.

    Thanks worldco

I can tell you that he has made plenty of money in the past (and therefore, he certainly can speak about profitability).

    Thanks worldco

We should have the tax forms by now, but I don't think WLDCO is unusual. From what I hear, several firms have taken this long (not all, but many).

    Worldco R.I.P. 1993-2003 ?

Actually, many team leaders never made any or much money off their groups (some even lost money).
