Any "advanced level" trading strategy book recommendation?

That book is so-so in my opinion. Here is a book that might interest you, it's called "How to Make a Living Trading Foreign Exchange: A Guaranteed Income for Life" (Wiley Trading)

So what? Did you at least read the book I was referring to or backtest the trading ideas, the 30-minute opening range breakout for example?

    Background Music

Unless the market has already moved in your favor in a big way and you are celebrating, listening to any type of music while trading (even classical music) can only add more confusion and will make you lose your focus.

Why Do People Buy At A Top?

That's what trading is all about indeed. When a trader buys at a certain price, he is in fact only hoping to find another sucker who would buy from him at an even higher price, before the "music" (uptrend) stops. PS: The Australian dollar is on fire tonight, check it out...

Why Do People Buy At A Top?

Yes. But buy every new 52 week highs on the major US indexes (S&P 500, Dow, Nasdaq, Russelll, etc...). since 1972 and see what happens.

Why Do People Buy At A Top?

That's quite the opposite El Cubano. If you buy at the top (or what you believe is the top) your risk is limited because the stock (or the financial instrument you are trading) can only go to zero. On the other hand, if you sell at the "bottom" (or what you believe is the bottom) you risk...

Why Do People Buy At A Top?

Read "How a Second Grader Beats Wall Street: Golden Rules Any Investor Can Learn" for example, it will show you numerous studies that show exactly that, among other things. Sure, any idiot can make money during an uptrend. But backtest that theory with 30 years of S&P 500 data and see for...

Why Do People Buy At A Top?

There is an old saying in Wall Street : "Amateurs buy 52-week high breakouts - and breakouts in general - , the pros fade them". Enough said for the time being ...

Why Do People Buy At A Top?

Studies show otherwise. For example buying a new 52-week high on the S&P 500 futures is a losing proposition. In fact you wouldn't believe all the nonsense most traders take for granted.
