That's the problem with most traders, especially new-comers: high and extremely unrealistic expectations. Some of them would have no problem believing that a 100% average monthly return is easy ! If they could just forget that nonsense and concentrate on making "just" 1% to 2% a month...

Fastest way to achieve that kind of return : futures, Forex or options. With Forex for example, bet on any currency pair (long or short it does not matter), 200 pip stop, 200 pip target, full leverage (50:1) and you could quadruple your money in 3 days or less that way. Or lose it all.

Unless you want to trade these exotic currencies for the long term, stay away from them, the spread alone will kill you! :eek: It's hard enough to make money with the "majors" and their very low spreads, so why complicate things?

Stopped out at break-even. Notice how moving the stop to break-even after X pips profit usually prevents marginally profitable positions from hitting the stop and becoming losing trades (even though in this particular case the stop was not triggered).

Not a chance, for the simple reason that the "big" players (aka smart money) will ALWAYS need the "small" players (aka "aunts") to make money, especially in zero-sum games like the futures or the Forex.
