    what f*ck just happened

I does mean that there could be an overhang of short positions that need closing when the market re-opens, and the possibility of a squeeze. Lucky it wasn't a big volume day. I agree that they should have executed at the pit low instead of busting them. Natalie

    what f*ck just happened

Either someone can't count, or they hit a double 00 key twice instead of the 0 key and didn't check... They'd have gotten killed on the way back up :) Natalie

    what f*ck just happened

Hope not, I was long the spikes up and short the spikes down. I'm gonna be very miffed if they get busted... ES & NQ both did the same and I was in both. Natalie

Your average intraday profit per contract in ES?

I guess if you are going for that then you would go broke, but when it happens over time as a consequence of good management and discipline? hmmmmm..... Best Natalie

Your average intraday profit per contract in ES?

There is an anomally that skews the poll results. Having a 4-6 band and a 5-10 band, will result in a lot of people who make avarage 5 point or 5.5 points per day, voling in the 5-10 band instead of the 4-6 band, which is probably why there are not many voltes in that band. Perhaps the...

    Unsubscribing from threads

Unsubscribing from threads can be a pain when you have lots to go through. It even takes you back to a completely different page and doesn't leave you in your account, let alone at the subscribed threads page. It would be much easier if there was a check box in the list of subscribed threads...

    Do you really need indicators?

The problem with indicators is that when they are there, there's the danger of paying far too much attention to the indicators (many of which are more often wrong than right) instead of what is actually happening. The analogy of a heart monitor is a good one, but the doctor will only be...

    Do you really need indicators?

Better to be lagging the price, than lagging an indicator that itself lags the price... best Natalie

    Do you really need indicators?

I guess that would be a case of gambling were we talking about making bets on each single tick. I think the point of being able to trade from price alone though is that we as humans are incredibly sophistacted in our recognition abilities and can take a myriad of imperfect shapes and classify...

    Dow 10,000 or 8,000 -- What's next ?

Don't know, but long term (80+years) Log scale chart has base support at between 5000 and 5500. I guess we'll all find out soon enough :) Natalie

    Do you really need indicators?

Indicators just confuse me and I make mistakes. I just use candles of the price and some lines occasionally so that I can see where I am in relation to other candles. Natalie :)

How low can the VIX go??

JB I've spent the last week or 2 looking very closely at the OOM puts, and working on figuring out possible positions, but not because of the VIX, but more as a result of looking at the daily index charts themselves, and the squeeze that has come into the tripple witching this time around...
