IB's short fee rate on TLRY is 346%

To be honest. Lack availability has saved me quite a bit of money so far ;) Not following your advice from a week ago, on the other hand, has cost me a quite a bit of money.

IB's short fee rate on TLRY is 346%

If you use a different broker than IB could you please enlighten us what your broker charges in short fee rate for TLRY? I think it would be of general interest to shed some light on the dispersion of short fee rates among different brokers.

IEX / IB - What does this mean?

Nothing, unless other listed companies follow suit, which would mean the end of colocation and other shenanigans perpetrated by HFTs. Thumbs up to IB for leading the way.

    CFD broker

But if the OP can live with higher commissions etc., you can combine Saxo and IB so that the CFD universe becomes larger. However, it will not be complete and it will not include IPOs.

    CFD broker

Saxo offers stocks as CFDs that IB does not. But my impression is that overall Saxo does not offer more stocks as CFDs than IB. Saxo's commissions are also higher than IB as are margin rates etc. Unfortunately no broker seems to offer a wider array of stock CFDs and at the same or lower...

Ok, I am sorry to hear that. May I ask which country? I find it difficult to believe that it should be a pan-European issue.

LOL - "Show me the victims of insider trading."

Fair enough. I see your point. If I can argue that the marginally better price offered by the insider is relevant in the sense that it helps a person holding shares at the time the event materializes but is not disclosed yet, you can likewise make the argument that the marginal improvement is...

LOL - "Show me the victims of insider trading."

In that situation you have lost out. But that is not the situation here: - you want to sell shares - you open your mobile app or online brokerage account on your laptop - you sell your shares - you receive a marginally better price than you would otherwise without knowing it The marginally...

LOL - "Show me the victims of insider trading."

Nope, because the counterparty would have traded anyway. In fact, the counterparty by definition gets a better price that he/she would have without the insider. Yes, someone will lose, but not the counterparty.

LOL - "Show me the victims of insider trading."

Let’s take positive results of a phase 3 study of a biotech company as an example. The news is still not published. The insider buys shares. This additional demand drives up the share price relative to where the stock would otherwise have traded, until the news is released and the stock price...

Has anyone been able to escape IB's price cap?

A well though out compromise that IB ought to consider. Have you put forward this suggestion to IB? Maybe if we all join forces and combine millions of commission over the years, they would listen.

Has anyone been able to escape IB's price cap?

It also occurs in situations where the stock has moved significantly and traded at these new levels. If I in that type of situation want to execute a marketable limit or just a limit further away from the new traded level, the limit price is capped. I have to wait for somebody else to trade...

https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=14186 I will ask IB if the price cap applies to institutional clients and individuals classified as "professional."
