    >I NEVER average down I certainly don't want my post to leave the impression that I believe in averaging down either...I DON'T. If I plan on support at 60.00, I will purchase the stock say from 60.20 on down. If it stalls at .15 I may take some in case the bounce occurs at this point...

    Chat room reviews

As I promised Don Bright earlier and on another thread, here is a short review of my experiences with the chat rooms/services I have used in the last year. I started trading almost exactly one year ago and didn't know a single soul that traded and I wanted to have some sort of guidance...

    >By my first experience with brower version >build 742.2, I'm impressed on the TWS/Excel >integration, and I'm sure IB's DDE implementation >DOES allow for data export updated in realtime Well now we know. Thanks for the report. I can't wait to play with it. JB

    Cash Management

I scale quite a bit. Using your example, if I expected support at 60, I might enter with 1x at 60.20 if it stalls there. If it pulls back a little more and confirms support, I might add another 1x or 2x at 60.02-05. If it falls through to 59.80, I will likely pare out half to reduce my...

Hitman, I'm looking forward to the time when I can have a 1K+ day and call it "nothing great". Nice work. JB

I am also getting error messages when I post. It doesn't seem to really effect anything other than a slight delay. JB

    Chartwiz feedback poll

I don't believe that his postings detracted from the board at all and enjoyed having him around. If you read the posts, you of course see that *no one* attacked him as he claims -- they simply ask some very basic questions and he went Defensivis Majoris. When a person get's all whiney from...

    Data Feed for Excel

tntneo, first, I'm a HUGE IB fan. I trade with them every day and I will be able to buy a Boxter with the commissions they have saved me this year alone. My comments were not an indictment of IB, they were a recognition of what IB isn't -- a data provider. >for futures it is not too bad...

    The market CAN be manipulated?

    >"But lo and behold, buying came in at the >opening and the market pushed higher." Quite a conspiracy they've got going there. I find I trade much better when I just don't worry *why* the buyers come in, but simply acknowledge their existence and trade accordingly JB

    Data Feed for Excel

IB's data feed is their weakness, not their strength -- IB themselves will tell you that they are not in the data streaming business. If someone thinks they will use the new DDE implementation and now have a source of streaming data to export and manipulate, they really should think again. JB

It's just the usual...question anything, ask for backup or disagree with the guru and they go off on the "you must be a very angry person". Fortunately, Dufferdon has his body of work on this forum that demonstrates his thoughtful (and yes helpful) manner. JB
