    dollar strengthening against Euro?!?!?

I agree with the longs in principle, but the timing (daily) is off, and it may be too soon price wise. I would like to see a 1.2920-38 as far as price is concerned, and as far as time, I see the start of the retrace between the 18-23 of this month. But then again ????? The Ever Venomous...

    dollar strengthening against Euro?!?!?

Like I said, the bulls are going to have to hold through some pain before they make a buck on any longs at this point in time. Remember timing is everything. The Ever Pain Adverse VIPER

Hmmmm, then I must be wrong about any guaranteed entries with oanda, they increase the spread and have slippage at the same time, that can't be right. Would one of the oanda traders please straighten me out on this? This is how it works in the real world, a Stop/Limit order sits on the...

What are the options for trading on CURRENEX for a retail trader?

Herring, There are but, from what I have seen, 25k is the minimum account size, and you will not get interbank spreads. Also I believe on this kind of account the minimum trade size is 25k units. To get the interbank spreads you need to go up to $80-100k account size. The Ever Watchful...

What are the options for trading on CURRENEX for a retail trader?

Allan, take a deep breath. Oanda is honest, they will tell you straight up how they operate, they don't like 2 second scalpers and during news the spread is artificially widened. Now the scalper reason is because scalpers take advantage of some bugaboo in the matching engine. Also as far as...

Anyone trade the Jack Hershey/Grob109 technique for Forex?

Achilles, I thought by the title you were asking about Hersheys trading system. If you are asking about charting in general, esignal has Hotspot, Gain, Fxcm, GFT, and Saxo feeds. They are supposed to have individual bank feeds also but as of now they are not working, I know, I checked every one...

    Newbie here, need some advice/thoughts

Welcome to et, and let the tar and feathering begin. To flip a stock daily, in other words 1 trade a day, you need 25k because you would be a pattern day trader, and thats what big brother says you need. Now you could trade futures, but I think you need more than $1200.00 to open an account. In...

Sim, Hotspot high at 4:30 1.8890, Currenex 4:31 1.8890, and Gain 4:30 1.8894. The OANDA number is higher just like the Gain number because of the heavy retail action. Oh by the way the spread on the currenex and hotspot were 1 pip, but you will generally take at least 9 pip slippage trading news.

    Soros Comment

I cannot understand this, everybody knows that we are headed for a correction in housing. In Fla, some houses appreciated 500k in 7 years, that is stupid. 8 months ago you could not touch a house in certain areas for less than 800k, now people hope to get 500k. No need to look that hard, or use...

...and then the bartender says "Oanda? But I hardly even know ya!!"

Jason, glad to hear you are doing well. Beware of reading too many negative posts. It can cripple you. For example, they continually state that 95% of all traders fail. But, where does this data come from, how were they trading, what were they trading, how much did they study before starting to...

    dollar strengthening against Euro?!?!?

Hey surf, I think you are going to hold through some pain to make a buck on this one, but we will see. I would like a dollar long, on a retrace back from 1.2960 down to around 1.2720. Also let me throw this in, Hotspot is very interesting, cheaper than CurreneX, and a data feed through...

anyone trade Forex with MB Trading ?

Jharvey, I was playing around with the esignal feed yesterday, and I did find that with tickquest you can superimpose different feeds on the chart so if you want a composite of several providers, you can stack one on top of the other, this cuts out the retail noise from gain, etc. Viper

anyone trade Forex with MB Trading ?

James, if you get Tickquest charting, you can use the MB plug in, and use the MB data directly. Then you only pay for the Tickquest platform. Also, I agree with you 100% on the esignal "noise" issue, you can get separate feeds from esignal, like the abn-amro, or an individual bank feed but again...

End of forex brokers CME & Reuters join forces

Surf what is up!!!! I hate to say it folks, but I told you so. ddunbar, good wrapup, and I agree with you, with one exception. The liquidity providers that one is able to execute against on the CurreneX depend on the Prime Broker you use, for example we execute on the CurreneX and it is...

    The Surf Report

The move took everybody by surprise, including, SBC, PFG, and us. Since our charting runs off of the currenex feed, we can preset our entries outside the "noise", and like a patient Viper wait for the trade to come to us. It is amazing seeing the difference between the charts using the...
