I think we need to be proactive here. In addition to other segments, let's everyone bombard FastMoney with a request for a serious discussion on this tax on the show. Stress that there's no FastMoney if the tax becomes reality.

Do they not not realize that there is no Fast/Mad Money if this tax passes? And whether small daytraders matter or not, their general ratings HAS to decline meaningfully as well. We need to write to the FastMoney crew and Cramer and have them be on top of this thing.

Check out the 2:30 video when it becomes available. Erin sounds like she's for the tax. If a CNBC anchor doesn't vehemently oppose such a tax, and in fact seriously considers its positives, we are as good as dead.

It should be pretty obvious to most by now what Obama thinks of speculators and activities that lead to phantom "paper wealth". He will actively push for this tax when the right moment comes.

If cfds were allowed here I wouldn't worry so much. But currently they are illegal in US except for gold and forex. Who knows if they would be allowed post-tax. There's also talk of eventual arrival of global currency. And this could put an end to liquid fx trading as we know it.
