WHAT IS A SECOND ENTRY ?

That's not what the quote is talking about. Love to lose money, hate to make money = love taking small losses /stopped out. No hesitation, no sadness, joy. Hate to make money is a reminder to let profits run. I also think, perhaps on a deeper level, it has some similarity to Nietzsche's Amor...

WHAT IS A SECOND ENTRY ?

I know what you're saying...there are several books that i got absolutely nothing from...and most have that one golden nugget that will help you down the road. ("love to lose money, hate to make money" from The Dao of Capital comes to mind). I've read AOW twice now and will probably revisit at...

WHAT IS A SECOND ENTRY ?

Taking notes on all of these videos as this is my first time studying Brooks. Excellent post, thank you...only on video 2 and there is obvious value here. I've been burning through trading books like crazy lately and in need of 1 today...could you recommend one on the topic of PA or day trading...

Doubled my (small) account last week daytrading CL futures using PA for the first time.

What does "taking the piss mean" Just some creative writing the same as when on shrooms. Nothing too original most borrowed concepts but still fun to explore.

Doubled my (small) account last week daytrading CL futures using PA for the first time.

I usually post negative, absurd, even depressing content so why not throw some excitement into the mix just for balance? I've also been writing and reading nonstop for weeks so I will enjoy pecking all of it out...I put this in the Journal sub as this is about to be novel length lol...

    Intraday Crypto Trading

You are asking this question for what reason? As motivation to convince yourself that it is possible so you will try? Or hoping for answers claiming "day trading crypto will bury your ass 100% of the time"..."no one can make consistent gains doing that" etc...

Algos watch Patterns, Trendlines, Channels, Support and Resistance

So IMO...the longer the trend, and the more times price has bounced from S&R, the more important it is. People have made good money simply buying support and selling resistance. As long as your size is appropriate and you accept they are zones and not specific prices then its possible to do...

Short Book Review: "Depression, Oil Trading & A Mind At War With Itself" - Jonathan Ford

a horrifying thought. We should all strive for a life well lived. To experience what we want to experience before we return.

Short Book Review: "Depression, Oil Trading & A Mind At War With Itself" - Jonathan Ford

no, alcohol wasn't part of the equation, luckily he missed that genetic sequence. His problem was his relationship with failure...every time he made a mistake he would be overwhelmed by feelings that he was worthless. The bigger the mistake...the bigger the hammer he could swing at his well...

Short Book Review: "Depression, Oil Trading & A Mind At War With Itself" - Jonathan Ford

Complete spoiler below...but i wouldn't worry about it. tl;dr: basically a really long suicide note. Not much about trading. Pretty good examples of how being passive can ruin you mentally. In Leo Tolstoys The Death of Ivan Illyich, the main character Ivan, from his deathbed, looks up at his...

    MAs.. usefulness comes and goes

I did a little testing with various MAs and personally did not see anything a trend line won't tell...maybe just me idk idc. I do see value in things like: "desired movement to capture" and study it with the goal of predicting volatility expansion(1), and direction(2); Trend Average ($) &...

Poll: After how low are you considering being profitable?

Yes I agree. It is just a matter of perspective.. To the trader who loses on balance week after week after week -> seeing a profitable month is huge and worth analysis as to why this month was different than the rest. What was different this time? Market conditions? Changes to your strategy...

Poll: After how low are you considering being profitable?

I chose 1 year but i don't really think it should be thought of as a hard line in the sand...that's just a reasonable amount of time to test progress. Anyone can be ahead for a month...but if you are actively trading (not buying and holding SP thinking you are a genius), and are profitable...

Also check out Les Brown and Wayne Dyer. Former is an incredible motivator, the latter provides a more eastern view on living a good life.
