The National Football League-that was the week that was

Yeah, a broken fibula is nothing. Not even weight bearing. They heal up with no side-effects. Tibia woulda been a different story. Use of Davenport on some key plays during the last two games woulda kept the score closer, so I'm glad to see him getting some time, but Parker will be missed...

The National Football League-that was the week that was

Ridiculous! At first the Steeler's injury plague was just restricted to defense with at least one key player out almost every game. Now Parker's done for the year! Who's next, Hines Ward? Maybe R-berger and Ward both during next week's game.

    $1/watt solar??

Probably, but solar is viable as a long term energy source. We just put solar up at our cabin and it works great. Still too expensive to justify for the average home, but getting there.

The National Football League-that was the week that was

Go Pitt!!!! Division champs. :D Unfortunately, Cleavland shouldn't have any problem with Cincinnati or San Fran. I would say that Pitt shouldn't have any problems with their last two, but I said that when they faced the Jets and the Cardinals too. Only thing worse than losing to the Jets...

Ron Paul GOP Frontrunner To Beat Hillary - Zogby

Really? There is no question in my mind that neither of them will even be in the top 2. Paul won't be able to convince enough voters that he isn't crazy, and Giulinai is already in a tailspin.

    Ron Paul breaks fundraising history!

Every electronic machine that I've voted on has printed an actual ticket also. I thought that was issued as a requirement in case the need for a manual recount arises. On a different note. What is obvious evidence of voter fraud? Paul supporters have it in their heads that "legitimate"...

Giuliani as bad as Bush ... or worse ?

Doesn't matter anyway. Giuliani is going to get crushed during the primaries anyway. I'd be surprised if he even comes close to 20% in the end. I'm betting more like 15%. Romney and Huckabee will come in better than him. McCain, Giuliani, and Thompson will likely be pretty similar, with Ron...

    Vote Match

Not a real fair comparison though. There are many issues that I voted "support" , while candidates were litsed as "strong support". If these alignments were considered then I think mine would've been Romney 85%.

    $1/watt solar??

There is one major problem as I see it, for companies like this. All the cost comparisons are done using current electricity prices. The problem is that if solar became widespread, quantity demanded for coal electric would drop considerably. Thus price would also drop and solar companies...

Ron Paul GOP Frontrunner To Beat Hillary - Zogby

Who cares about a blind bio poll? It's nice to hear, but in reality that isn't how people vote. It's already proven that women are largely swayed by the person's looks. Men are swayed by other factors or simply by party. You could have someone running as a DEM while at the same time...

    $1/watt solar??

The house-by-house method also allows people to run independent of the grid. This has advantages and disadvantages. This setup would be a huge advantage during war, as the enemy wouldn't be able to easily knock out power to large areas. Same with natural disasters. Another advantage is...

    Vote Match

I would agree, but a rational person must understand that there are practical limits within a functioning government. That is what distinguishes a normal person from a radical. For example, I think we should reduce carbon emissions because I like to breath clean air. Ideally I would prefer...

Mitt Romney 65% Hillary Clinton 10% I retook the quiz based on ideals rather than practical consideration, with the following result. Ron Paul 70%

    Climate Change

Climate change always causes certain areas to get wetter while others get drier, but during a glacial maximum, the general effect is that the vast majority of the earth gets much drier. The colder areas at higher elevations become glaciated and hold a huge amount of atmospheric water. Places...

    Ron Paul breaks fundraising history!

Doesn't matter. If RP runs indie, then Dems win. GOP support will be demolished and Dem support will go mostly untouched. My prediction. GOP = 35% DEM = 45% RP = 20% OTOH, if RP runs underneath someone else. GOP= 55% DEM= 45%

POLL: Who is Jesus to You?

Since non-religious/atheists come in at about 0.6-1.2 billion, then they aren't the elite few whom you refer to either. This is the most flawed logic I've ever seen.

    Climate Change

I've got one more question for everyone. Which is worse? The worst estimates of global warming, or another glacial maximum like the one 20,000 years ago? My thoughts: Worst case global warming: We will lose many major cities along the coasts over a lengthy period of time. Conversely...

    Climate Change

Which Ice caps are you talking about? If the north pole completely melts there will be almost no increase in sea level, because it is comprised of floating ice. The fact that it is fresh water will cause a very small rise in sea level. OTOH, land based glacial melting will cause a rise in...

    Anyone else distrust Huckabee?

Yeah that was kinda my point. Almost without exception, every candidate has changed direction on certain points to either differentiate themselves, or align themselves. It is much more valuable to look at their record rather than their words. We all know that most of what a candidate...
