I'm having a problem believing all this "Clawback" shit. Does anyone know of any person serving time in a Federal Penitentiary for not paying his "Clawback" bill to a Federal Court?

The title of this thread is so confusing I'm not sure where to start with an answer. If I thought that working hard was too good for me, then I wouldn't work hard. I'd day trade instead. Right? ?!?!?!?

So what happens if you don't give back this "Clawback" money? Or, you spent it all? I've never heard or read of a man in a Federal Penitentiary for having withdrawn, paid taxes on, and kept investment profits in an investment scheme that, years later,went bad w/out his complicity or knowledge...

This "Clawback" provision....just doesn't look right. Those invested with MIAS could sure make a "Good Faith" argument, especially the charities. I've never heard or read of this "Clawback" being enforced on innocent parties, and 6 yrs back? If a Fed. district judge could really enforce...

GM/Chevy dealer just north of Houston just finished a new dealership facility, reallly super nice. Just got all the new GM and Chevy's moved there last week. I'd bet this is the last bad business decision he'll make in his life. He's 75, nice guy, supports the local FFA livestock auctions...

I saw a Houston woman interviewed on CNBC this morning, she said her accountants are now having to figure out how to tell the IRS she paid tax on fantasy profits.

Ya'll do know the first snowflake of the coming avalanche of lawsuits has been filed today. Financial Advisors as a group might virtually cease to exist after this is over. But that'l be many years from now.
