I don't know how to backtest given I don't have options data free so far as I know. But I am in the process of coming up with a simulation to see what the exact positions I construct do given if QQQ drops by various amounts - i.e. to forward test it LOL.

TQQQs. They give you 3x leverage. Sure, there is a little drag on them, but I've tested and its really not that much. Now, people talk about how TQQQs will eventually go to something close to zero when the Naz collapses. So you'd be crazy to keep your money in TQQQs long term they say...

Haha I am familiar with beta Cabin, just hadn't thought about it in forever! So I think the answer for stocks is to just use finviz, search for the biggest baddest stocks with lowest beta, and preferably ones that pay a bit of a divvy (those give me a funny, tingly feeling). But using finviz...

I'm actually thinking about starting to collect guns. 9mm types. I should probably make a thread in the off topic or whatever it is called about guns and which ones are collectors items and might hold/go up in value, etc. Although I would guess not many on this forum have knowledge in that area.

Yea, good point. Which makes me think of gold, similar concept. But every time I've ever tried to buy gold and gold funds/etfs and what not I've lost my ass. :(
