D, You might be right from a long term, fundamental point of view, but not on lower TF's.

They don't move in sync. What happens if some bank gets an big order to swap euros for cad dollars? Wouldn't do much for CADCHF or EURCHF, would it...?

I never noticed it was started in the "Risk Management" section. Yet is has to be some method, closely connected to the price range.

On the candlechart you can see the Open and Close, but also the range / extremes within that minute. The line graph let you choose only one reference point within a minute which you consider important; the close is widely used, but there are a number of possibilities in TV. But you can see the...

Got to step in here, because I'm "student" nr. 2...:D Padutrader asked for a voluntary and very small contribution, that's in no relation to what he's already contributed to our own private forum.

I don't know if I agree...; can you provide some more information? How can a small trader cause a spike? It looks like several trades were made within the spike... I see it as a test; a small stoprun on the Daily, luring in shorts with the intention of pushing it higher later on.
