    Is micro scalping dead?

I don't know how one would be able to do it, considering that he/she is a retail investor. Now, if you have a decent commission rate (ex: IB) then 10 cents or 15 cents is possible but very hard (all succesful trading is very hard)

Out at 106.63 - Fear of a rally, but still believe gap filling today (but not enough to bet). Panic was lacking on the selling, that was main reason to exit

S&P Has Gone Parabolic (Has Busted Everytime in History Afterwards): Chart of the Day

Yeah, I am very aware of the astronomical p/e. In my opinion, it is the government (maybe not directly but via Goldman, etc) that "has made" the market go up and stay up like that... even though there's plenty of reason to have a good 20% correction.

will the mkt ever turn on the low ball ests game?

This is another bubble... Stock prices (of many stocks) are similar to what they were before the crisis started, when unemployment was 5% and people still were in a binging spending mode. P/E is at a modest 140 ...

The Fed needs to start raising rates!

very well said piggie. And, everybody, look at the excellent p/e this market has now (sp 500 index, according to Standard and Poors themselves): 129 !!! LOL See: http://www2.standardandpoors.com/portal/site/sp/en/us/page.topic/indices_500/2,3,2,2,0,0,0,0,0,1,11,0,0,0,0,0.html

The Fed needs to start raising rates!

In my opinion, definitely the stock market is in a bubble right now, a bubble created by our government, either on purpose, or as a collateral effect of the liquidity they injected in the economy. The stock market indexes growth is not sustainable, nor is anchored on realistic assessment of...

Faber Says U.S. Government May Fail in 5 to 10 Years; Calls Bernanke "A Criminal"

here's my 2 cents: Bernanke, Geitner (and Obama as they are their economic team) did very well since the beggining of the year: they flooded the economy with stimuli WHICH WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO at the time. the banks and the economy are in much better shape now. the problem I see...

"Risk is not high, it is extreme."

Yes, two things here: 1) Immense amounts of stimulus money from the government - that is what pushed this recovery. the economy is much better today, but eventually the stimulus has to be cut, and then the economy will weaken for sure 2) Very high, stubborn unemployment - and the consequent...

IB stop loss triggered AND executed outside of trading range

Hello, Regarding this issue, I am also an IB client and have seen some crazy things happening too. To this day, every time that I checked what happened, IB was not at fault, instead, it was the crazy spike nature of the ES to blame. I remember vividly one time in which I had a winning...

Oldest Swiss Bank Tells Clients to Sell U.S. Assets or Leave

Wrong, it certainly applies to people who don't live and/or who never set foot in the USA, but who had assets at the time of death that were considered to have "US situs" (like US stocks, bonds, brokerage accounts, treasuries, real estate, etc) . I know it is hard to believe. More: If you...

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

No way that would ever be implemented. NO WAY! there an enormity of reasons why, but I will cite only one: The stock market would go down like 20% in no time, and trend would be very bearish. a decline like that would hurt the average Joe doe investor that has stock for the long run, which is...

Oldest Swiss Bank Tells Clients to Sell U.S. Assets or Leave

Yes, I extensively studied the subject and that is exactly what it is. Let's say that you live in South Africa, and your heirs all live in South Africa (and never set foot in the USA and don't conduct business here) - even on this scenario, all stocks and bonds that you have in the USA will be...
