    hedge fund blow up !

Wow, and you would think that someone running a hedge fund would know what risk is about. Isn't hedging about making your investments less risky?

    Ensign vs. Amibroker

You mean you can use myTrack with Amibroker? Interesting, I did not know about it. How much do you pay for that? ES from myTrack via SC is $55 a month, how much is that with Amibroker. I might switch to Amibroker once it starts interfacing with IB (not via QT), but that option with myTracker...

    Ensign vs. Amibroker

I think that IB's data is good, what is not good is that sometimes it is not complete when they are down or they have some Globex problems.

    Ensign vs. Amibroker

That's a good question, I would love to know the answer myself. I have yet to use the myTrack data feed, so cannot answer it. Perhaps someone else could.

    Ensign vs. Amibroker

Good, so use it, who says you should not, but you still cannot get any historical data this way and if IB is down your data is incomplete. That's why I need Ensign or myTrack as the cheapest providers of complete intraday data. It is a potential headache for me to have one more program open...

    Ensign vs. Amibroker

You can, but they are delayed, which is fine with me because I need it for backtesting only. Try the free trial for one week to see that it works.

    Ensign vs. Amibroker

I think that getting the real-time data through QT is a bit of a headache, you have to run one more program. I am getting the RT ES data from IB via Sierracharts and that's enough in this respect. What I need is some program for historical testing with continuous intraday data supply. That's...

    Ensign vs. Amibroker

but just started a subscription to Ensign Internet. If you cannot get intraday data for futures why bother with Amibroker. You can get it for $40 from Ensign. It can do the same as Amibroker if not more. I would use Amibroker if it allowed me to get intraday futures data (delayed for strategy...

How to find a Mentor for swing trading?

OK, I guess I figured that one out by myself. He's got more time because he does not waste it on ET... That was simple. Enough for today...

    Acceptable Max DD?

One of the systems I trade had a bad drawndown in the past, but it is now doing extremely well, in the last 12 months only one was a small loser. I guess that I was lucky that I did not know about this drawdown because it happened in 2001 and I had backtested the system for 2002 only and had...

How to find a Mentor for swing trading?

Really, I thought that he was a poker player. How does he find time for both? Did he quit working for Microsloth or what?

    100 shots

There were 3 more trades in December that are not taken into account in the data I presented for my system. All were losers, each 6 pts which is the biggest loss allowed by the system. So in total, there were 98 trades in 2002. Sorry about that. The data was from some demonstration...

    100 shots

One reason why people lose is that they give up long before they even reach 100 shots. This is particularly true for those who trade mechanical systems.

    100 shots

with a sound strategy in 100 shots. Yes, most people lose because they simply do not have a sound strategy or they do not follow it. Discipline is a very hard thing to master. If your strategy is even marginally sound you will lose because of commissions rather than anything else. There are...

    good old-fashioned squeeze today??!!

Sounds that you need to seek a more professional help than I initially thought. Dude, check out my posts on tick and trin and you will see that I have been talking about it for a long time. You need to learn a lot. Right now, you are just a pathetic individual that simple cannot get it that...

    good old-fashioned squeeze today??!!

You take yourself too seriously, dude. Unlike you, I will make no comments on your intelligence, if only because I do not like to talk about obvious things. Thanks for your post.

    good old-fashioned squeeze today??!!

You can use livecharts here: http://finance.lycos.com/home/livecharts/default.asp?symbols=trin That's how I get my quotes. Nothing sophisticated, and it's free.

    good old-fashioned squeeze today??!!

And 1 min stochastics was also bearishly divergent, but that's what you expect to see when Tick is divergent with the price. Not to mention that my favorite mechanical system was short since 877.5 and when it's short I try not to go long. Just covered @858.0, 5.5 pts ain't bad.

    good old-fashioned squeeze today??!!

There was a clear bearish Tick divergence @ 2:30 in 1 min charts, with Tick weakening by upper BB and Trin by lower BB. There was a greater chance for ES to go down rather than up, that's why I shorted.
