    Need help setting up VWAP

Viktor, if referring to the chart I posted, let me clarify - that is showing TWO indicators. The center line is the VWAP. The upper/lower bands are from "VWAP Bands" indicator with the width of 1 Standard Deviation that was calculated over a period of 14

    Need help setting up VWAP

A single line would be the current value. It is also available though I did not show it on this particular chart. The center line on the chart above is charting the VWAP value as it changes throughout the day.

    Windows 10

I would just revert from backup. The problem with that is that the restore from backup takes hours on my system, so would rather avoid it if at all possible :)

    Windows 10

Another thing to keep in mind. You can upgrade, and then revert. Even if you revert to Win 7, your system will be flagged by MS as having upgraded. That means it will be able to upgrade for free in the future, even after the July 29th date.

    Windows 10

I've upgraded 4 laptops to 10. No problem. Win 10 is nice, as long as you don't have driver problems. I am hesitant to update the desktop system mainly because I cannot find for the life of me if the hardware RAID controller is supported. Had driver issues with that before, even on win 7. It is...

Don't know about thinkScript, but you can get Medved Trader and hook it up with your TD Amertrade account (both data and trading). It has Candle Countdown on all intraday charts, not just time-based. http://www.medvedtrader.com/

[Beginner] Is there free data feed?

@Younes, I know there is a python API for IB, so you should be able to get data from them. IB API has screener capabilities I believe, so that may simplify some things for you, though the API itself is a bit compex.

[Beginner] Is there free data feed?

So basically by your logic, you are making money by not paying for the tools/data you need to make more money. Good luck with that.

[Beginner] Is there free data feed?

@traderob, I was referring to parsing a broker's streaming datafeed without the broker cooperation, which is not designed for public API consumption, without documentation, SDK or any sample apps. IQFeed is designed to be used by the public and is very easy to parse, but you have to pay for...

[Beginner] Is there free data feed?

Streaming quotes are far more complex to parse.

[Beginner] Is there free data feed?

you can get free" real-time data would be if you have a brokerage account with a broker that provides the data at no cost to the client. TD Ameritrade and E*Trade do for example. TDA has an API available. You can use the broker's own tools to display the data, or you can get Medved Trader for...

error - I found and fixed this particular one, but in general, if instead of just showing the top message, it is best to EMAIL us the details with the entire message. that shows the exact location of the error. Option chain - the settings are not symbol specific. will see about adding the...

    MedvedTrader (MT)

TD Ameritrade datafeed doesn't support futures. Stocks/Indices only for backfill (options work for quotes)
  17. j_medved

    MedvedTrader (MT)

Your backfill source is explicitly set to IB (look at the Dashboard on the Backfill Source tile, bottom left) Change that to "Smart Source" or "TD Ameritrade", then hit BACKFILL on the chart window

    MedvedTrader (MT)

with IB, the max is 10. With other sources, it can be longer. Yahoo may get you 20, depending on the symbol type. IQFeed has much longer - I believe up to 120 or 180 days (don't remember of the top of my head). TD Ameritrade - 120. So basically, very much depends on the data source. Also, if...

    Bandwidth Usage

ToS builds the bars on the server and sends them to the client without much caching. Bandwidth usage is not a top concern it seems. If you have a US account, you can use 3rd party software to access and trade TD Ameritrade accounts, such as ours (https://www.medvedtrader.com) If Canadian, then...
