    Best Charting Software?

you don't have to use the +/- on the keyboard. You can also use the mouse wheel. By default the mouse wheel will scroll the chart and if you hold down CTRL key, mouse wheel will zoom in/out. If you wish to make it the default, without the CTRL Key, you can do that - SETTINGS / CHARTS / GENERAL...

Does Schwab Limit Price Improvement for Very Heavy Trading?

As of the last fixes this weekend, it is very reliable. I am using it myself, so you KNOW any issues will get fixed quick :) Yes, MT shows the cost base to 4. I checked that is working with Fidelity. They actually reported it to 2 decimals so I had to jump through some hoops to get an accurate...

Does Schwab Limit Price Improvement for Very Heavy Trading?

no, that picture showed 1 order per row. I just sent them as separate orders - they were not all sent at the same time. Mainly did it to not move the market and see how the orders impacted things. But that is a separate issue. I see the recent lack of the price improvements on TDA as a big...

What 3rd Party Programs are available to trade with Fidelity?

I am not aware of Fidelity having that restriction. As far as I know, TD Ameritrade seems to be the only one that enforces that. Only reference I found anywhere for that 390 rule was for options trading, not stocks. I tried to get clarity from TDA about it, but was not successful.

Does Schwab Limit Price Improvement for Very Heavy Trading?

Yes. As you can see the first BUY order (lowest in the list) got filled 0.03 lower. Overall, that one set of orders alone was over $160 in price improvements. That adds up fast.

Does Schwab Limit Price Improvement for Very Heavy Trading?

I have been trading my Fidelity account for the past week. Frequently they would fill the sell order at the ASK (I know, I was shocked) and midway between bid/ask . For example, the following is a bunch of trades within maybe 5 min period. All SELL orders were placed at the BID (3rd column). All...

What 3rd Party Programs are available to trade with Fidelity?

and trading is available on the Level II screen directly, including displaying open orders. I have TD Ameritrade Level II data, and then change trading accounts on the window between various accounts at TDA and Fidelity

What 3rd Party Programs are available to trade with Fidelity?

Fidelity does not have an open API and does not seem at all interested in providing one. Medved Trader is the only 3rd party software that works with it as far as I know. We had to do the integration via their website, so feature availability is restricted to what is available on the site. The...

You can now do that with Medved Trader using the Hotkeys - the multiple accounts can be with same broker or different ones. doesn't matter.

Y know about that one, but keeping it under that limit. Btw they already count. I know people that got the notice

Does Schwab Limit Price Improvement for Very Heavy Trading?

True, however it could have been a policy change as opposed to something with integration. The difference though is undeniable. Multiple people I trade with for the exact same thing. I certainly hope that something changes soon, but I'll have to bite the bullet and deal with moving some accounts

Does Schwab Limit Price Improvement for Very Heavy Trading?

Changing brokers would be complicated right now. Not sure where they were routing since I wasn't really paying attention to that before

Does Schwab Limit Price Improvement for Very Heavy Trading?

I'm trading with TD Ameritrade (owned by Schwab now). Been getting great price improvements until about a month ago. Then the improvements completely disappeared! The difference is blatantly obvious. The orders are BUY at ASK, SELL at BID. Mostly penny stocks, some in upper single digits...

    Best Charting Software?

Yes, that should not be a problem. Orders placed via MT will be visible in TWS and vice versa. The issues start to come in when you start placing orders via multiple API connected apps. Each one can only see its own orders (sort of), which creates all kinds of issues. As long as you are only...

    Best Charting Software?

Hi @T441 , I've seen SC's comments about IB integration and can certainly understand their position on IB API support. Calling IB's API a mess would be overly generous. We have been dealing with IB API since it became available (Back in the QuoteTracker days). With Medved Trader, you can...

    MultiCharts / Interactive Brokers

Sigh. that is not what those charts represent! IB datafeed does not return every tick. They DO use every tick internally for charts, so if you retrieve 1 min OHLC from IB and from IQFeed, they will be the same. and the datafeed is completely and totally independent of trading. I don't know how...
