Mins, I like what you said in your third paragraph and I hope it works for you on a consistent basis. Please share with us some of your trades in realtime. I always learn from anyone who employs a successful and consistent strategy. Peace.

I wouldn't put much faith in backtesting. Never engaged in it and never will. Backtesting can NEVER tell you or predict even with approximation how ferocious the next trade will be (velocity, behaviour, stop out, etc.). Back testing can NEVER predict when and at what time BB will adjust rates...

I won't argue with you too. After all, you have the right to stand by any bogus statement you make any time you want. :D

Read first who came up with this worst case scenario before telling people they're bogus.

While I agree with you on giving the trade room to play out as I do often so long that it fits my risk parameters, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the point that money management creates positive expectancy. Positive expectancy imho comes from having great timing (system), and stops are...

    Long 1360.75 June/ Stop 1331.

Perhaps because of the flying sinks :D Seriously, my stops vary from trade to trade based on the model, but I think you're incorrectly analyzing or I should say over-analyzing perhaps because of the risk/reward factor. However, just because the stop is near 20, doesn't necessarily mean I will...

  10. I

Not so fast. Let me get out right here at 1356 June and then you can throw all the sinks you guys want. :D

We're under a severe thunderstorm warning. In case the power goes out, I have placed a limit long at 1348.75 June with 1 point stop this time.

Now you see what you've done to the shorts, you scared'em away just when I was starting to have fun with them. Why did you do that? Out at 1353 June. Will try to enter again.

Well what can I say, sometimes when they think that "they clearly have the ball" they need to think again, because there's a good chance they'll fumble and I'll get a down. I learned long time ago to never ever be certain about one outcome.
  16. I

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

Or a late blast off, regardless, I moved my stop to my entry at 1347 June.

Seriously, it's ok if you're a paper trader as long as you're upfront about it. But I have yet to see you post any trades. Believe it or not, just because I'm not a paper trader doesn't mean I can't learn from one (if they're any good of course).
  18. I

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

Yes, that's where paper trading should be... beyond all of us.
  19. I

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

For once, you should refrain from paper trading and post a few Real Time real trades, because I'm unable to find any under your name in the past several months. How do you manage to hide them so well is beyond me.

I agree, it's always better to look tall than to look short :)
