What about maintenance? I heard somewhere that the oil infrastructure in the US is getting old, and it requires alot of maintenance. Couldn't this down time just be the result of aging equipment?

Oil will have a correction, it's just a matter of when. It's just short term though in my opinion. I'm still bullish intermediate term.

I would trade the regular sized oil contract (CL). Perfect market for me, for intra-day trading.

Khaled - I don't think it's unreasonable to short at these levels. I just wouldn't hold it for too long. By the way, nobody on these forms are right or wrong...it's all just a HOPE oil will go a certain way.

I agree, there are a multitude of factors and they are all built into the market. No single one thing is the cause.

The NYMEX listings are just a dual listing that tracks the NYBOT contracts. They see much less volume but are the same contract specs.

Guys do you know what are the main news releases for these 2 contracts? And how often they are released?

I like the sound of that. Maybe this is what put the specialists out of business on the NYSE floor. The ICE spreads look tight so far on IB for Sugar & other softs.

I in fact think you should start as early as possible. If you lose when you are young, you still have time to make the money back, and stay in the game. If you attempt it when you are older, and you're married and have a family to support, one big hit and you'll likely be taken out of the game...
