i guess this could be the problem. i was'nt setting this variable, but iv never had a problem before with it not transmitting. maybe the order object does'nt intialize the variables.

it was a forex order on ideal pro. there is no record of the order in the audit report. i ended up closing my app and cancelling the untransmitted order manually.

since there is pretty much 0% chance that the price will remain the same for ever. you know it either has to go up or down sometime in the future. so that would be 50% up / 50% down .. no?

Im curious about the same. Also are Canadian accounts at IB different if the US ones arnt covered? I think iv heard that Canadian accounts are automatically insured up to 100k by the govt. But i could be wrong. And I dont know what the insurance applies to. Might only be for if IB pulls a Refco.

ahh thanks! i thought i tried that but apparently when i changed the windows clock to test, you have to restart tws for the tws-time to recorrect.

Hey. I was wondering if anyone know if there was a way to get the time from TWS through the API? Iv noticed the windows clock drifts slightly from the clock in the bottom right of the TWS window. Id like to use the TWS clock to make my automated app react differently around news events.

no decresionary trader wins 100% of the time. its admiral (and funny) that they left in the negative trades and fat finger mistakes in a training video. id say seeing real errors and bad trades in an unedited video is much more educational than seeing an edited clip of an 'expert' teacher...
