Interesting...but I have a question after browsing your site. Your perfomances for systems A, B, and C - up to which date does your performance consist of backtesting and historical data, and which date did you start actual implementation of the systems on a "real time" basis? thnx...

How to do this in IB TWS?

Is there an "opposite"? Instead of One Cancels All, is there a One Enters All? 1st order - I'd like to set a limit to buy if a stock breaks out. 2nd order - I'd like to set a stop limit on that stock but only if the breakout order is filled. ???

    Disaster Hedging

Markets would be gone in the nuke or be halted immediately. And if not, you would be selling as would everyone else at terrible prices. Heck....why are we even talking about this!?! How depressing!?!

    Swing Trading and Trader/MTM Election

Can you be more clear. Not sure what you mean by investor election. You don't need to "elect" being an investor. If you're referring to "trader in securities" as your profession (ie. day trader), 20*52 is just over 1000 trades a year, which would seem just over the line to be considered an...

The Bull is here to stay!

...is it?!? VIX is making a new trading range. Wedge has broken to the upside. Money will flow back as dollar recovers, etc etc... Most of all - Barrons is correct with the Bull cover for the first time in History!!! Maybe the Bubble never burst, we just thought it did but it only got...

So emotional you are!!! I am pumping him up? Says you! But then again, you say alot! Down 38% is odd? Says you again! I didn't know you knew the parameters of his system and if that was within its range of volatility. Any system that depends on a return of greater than 50% just to...

And he was up over 90% last year. His trading is volatile. Is this the point you're making?! Because if it is, you don't need to...it's rather obvious!?!

31% Return Over Last 8 Trading Days

It all depends in what context you've been trading. The main factors would probably be size of capital and amount of leverage. ie. if you're trading with $1,000 capital, and putting $2,000 on daty trades using 200% margin...then making $310 is a nice return but not all that impressive...

    Aaron chat

Usual per his system yes. It appears that his returns have little correlation to the market. So if there's little correlation, whats your point in bringing up what the market has done in the past 4 months? And you say he "pumped" himself up during the chat? I don't see it, and I've...

    Aaron chat

As he has said, Aarons system is strictly systematic and mechanical. Those previous gains, as well as the current losses, fall well in the parameter of his system so he says. So whats the point of all this bashing? He has done nothing unusual. You guys going to cheerlead when he performs...

    This market has changed...

This is a result of the bear market. No surprise. Question is - is the market now, for the most part, starting to consolidate for a push higher which hasn't occured yet in thie bear market (because all the rallies so far have been merely oversold rallies)?

    This market has changed...

VIX at new lows, dollar cascading lower, economy not rebounding, ...yada yada yada... Yet I see many individual stocks that have broken out off beautiful bases on this last rally. ...so once we reach the 15% or so like past rallies, will this rally be any different than all the other bear...

    CME Halt

The indices have also slowed down considerably since futures were halted. My last quote for the ES is around 904.5. According to the SPX it would be trading around 909. Don't forget you aren't screwed if this happens. You can take protective action by hedging with SPY or another instrument.

    Stops...

Stopping or braking in a vehicle does mean you always have to have your foot on the brake pedal. Depending on your discipline, reaction time, and peripheral vision, you can drive quite well without ever having your foot on the brake pedal until necessary!!!
