ok, now I see what you mean. But why are you combining the $VIX a measure of volatility in S&P100 to the QQQ....makes no sense really. Why not use $VXN? you know apples to apples... In any case, it would probable give a similar result. BTW, its nice to see coffee finally breaking out...

not sure what you are trying to say here exactly....but in any case why would you be using the $VIX with the QQQ when they have their own volatility index (the $VXN)?

c'mon guys! lets give him a bit of slack here. Gold, can you give us some background on that trade? for example, why were you watching TECD, what your stop loss was, how you took profits, etc. Explaining a trade is always more informative than just posting it.

Another way to look at the same chart is to draw a parallel line (a bit to the left of the one already there) to make an uptrending channel. In this scenario a 'break up' from the flag would not necessarily cause a true breakout but still be contained in the channel. Hope that was clear!
