PCI Video Works with PCIe Video?

Before giving up on 2 2 port cards, I'd play around with them some more. I've seen installations, for example, where the *order* of which video card/software is installed 1st, determines whether everything will work. Little things in the installation process sometimes make all the...

PCI Video Works with PCIe Video?

Unless you intend on going with 5+ monitors later on, I'd stay with two 2 port cards for a 4 monitor setup. If one card fails, you can still have 2 monitors left, etc. Also less than 1/3 cost to replace compared to a 4 port card.

Article Dedicated to the Naive Ones Here Who Think Oil Prices Aren't Manipulated

That's not the case at all. Look at intraday/minute timeframes & you can see a lot of manipulation going on. Some of these theives operating on exchanges under the guise of "market-makers" are really prop-shops able to manipulate prices to their advantage as somebody in the article states.

Was the card from ATI? Was it made to be compatible with Vista? A few mos. ago I bought a 2 monitor card for a Vista box which already had a monitor ati pcie card. So I bought a 2 monitor pci card compatible w/vista & the machine now works with 4 monitors. 2nd card cost $40-50 at newegg...

These issues are 1 reason I stay with mostly xp. Vista introduces too many issues to multi-monitor setups.

    Averaging down with leveraged ETFs?

But what of the fact it was at 100+ a couple of years ago? If he were averaging down, the "recovery" is very, very slow. These leveraged etf's are very trick to calculate for swing/long term.

Stat Arb: Pair Trading (US Equity)

I wouldn't trust ANY of those results. Your positive results are most likely due to several bad ticks not visible when performing this type of analysis. Positively correlated pairs above .90 are hell to trade imo.

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

Yes, a new global entity to collect such a tax would be hell of scary as it would likely lead to other global taxes. Definetely a NO-NO!

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

I suspect the writer has the figure wrong or it's deliberately being sold that way to get people to jump onboard. Some people make the mistake of writing .5% as .005% I hope you're right though, as that transaction tax would certainly be viable. Again, suspiciously too low.

    Optiver mkt manipulation inquiry

The problem in the US market is the exchanges & dumb SEC. The exchanges encourage all this shit so extra fees are paid to them. The dumb SEC listens to the scammers and makes a decision "fair to all players". 'Seems like things are 10x worse than when specialists were in charge.

Is shorting a dead end street?

Why even bother trying to short a market that's trending up? Nothing wrong with shorting. Just wait for the right moment. Why pick tops?

    Averaging down with leveraged ETFs?

You have the "mechanics" of levered ETF's wrong. Do some more research. They're not designed to work that way at all & your plan would fall apart.

Yeah, unless they begin some serious image campaign soon, along with other big changes, they're finished. Another walmart victim. Sear's clientele is the type that can easily go Kmart or Walmart. JCPenney, OTOH, really has the "softer side" & the customers there will keep going back...
