Bitcoin hit a high of $8,458 today on coinbase. I'm calling it. This is the end of Bitcoin

You can't retire on just a house purchase. Why would you want to buy a house when bitcoin is going much higher? Why don't you just rent so that you can maximize your bitcoin hodling like you've been spouting forever?

Bitcoin hit a high of $8,458 today on coinbase. I'm calling it. This is the end of Bitcoin

Nope, not at all. Just pointing out your inconsistencies. Why would you even want to own fiat at all if you are a true believer of bitcoin? You're basically admitted that all of your b.s. that you've spouted is b.s.

Bitcoin hit a high of $8,458 today on coinbase. I'm calling it. This is the end of Bitcoin

If you are so effing confident, why the hell did you sell? You're a HODL faker. Now all of your pro bitcoin posts just look like a pump and dump scheme. Only true believers should be posting the b.s. that you post. Maybe when you get some balls and hold bitcoin for eternity, then you can join...

CME Group Announces Launch of Bitcoin Futures

I found this article interesting, but this statement is incorrect. In a market crisis, the most liquid names will be sold first, not vice versa.

CME Group Announces Launch of Bitcoin Futures

I would definitely prefer it since then I don't own any bitcoin outright and thus my bitcoins cannot be hacked/stolen if I am just trading futures. How many people have lost their bitcoins by accident or have been hacked? You don't have to worry about that stuff if you are trading a derivative...

I wouldn't call the physical properties of gold minor: https://www.investopedia.com/articles/investing/071114/why-gold-has-always-had-value.asp

Need to eliminate the big losses

It is interesting that "Friday losers" come up a lot when talking about controlling risk. As an example, I have read that one of Peter Brandt's rules is to never take home a loser over the weekend. I'm sure he's not the only one that uses that rule.

how do you put transaction fees into capital gains taxes (USA)?

You include the commissions in your buy and sell transactions. So the proceeds would be $1100 - $5 = $1095 and the cost basis would be $1000 + $5 = $1005 for a total gain of $90. https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/rental-property/cost-basis-tracking-your-tax-basis/L4i1f9qB1

It implies to me that you should be buying cheap options and the just wait for the day that volatility explodes.

Bitcoin forks: Money for nothing, sex for free

Well I've read that something that goes up on bad news is a buy. Easier said than done though. Not touching bitcoin.

CME Group Announces Launch of Bitcoin Futures

If I have the choice of trading bitcoin on a bitcoin exchange vs a futures contract, there is no way I would touch the bitcoin exchange (unless arbing of course).

CME Group Announces Launch of Bitcoin Futures

Then it seems like it might be better to trade bitcoin with futures. You don't have to deal with bitcoin wallets being hacked, Coinbase accounts being hacked, bitcoin exchanges getting hacked, etc.

Bitcoin forks: Money for nothing, sex for free

You are comparing the infrastructure of fiat currencies with just the mining energy costs of bitcoin. There are infrastructure costs for bitcoin. I.e., a place like Coinbase certainly eats its fair share of energy. The currency itself shouldn't be consuming energy in order to operate.

CME Group Announces Launch of Bitcoin Futures

I don't trade futures so excuse my ignorance, but are these futures contracts backed by bitcoin? Or they are just being traded in reference to the CME bitcoin index price? In other words, if you trade these futures, is there any bitcoin hacking risk involved? What counter-party risk exists in...
