Will Schumacher do it again on Sunday?

I don't get Speedvision anymore, so I am forced to follow F1 via the web. www.planet-f1.com is my favorite. Any others that you like? Kevin

Will Schumacher do it again on Sunday?

That is pretty amazing, but Ferrari is still 1 and 2.

    If not Schumi, then Rubens.

    Swing trading

Mr roboto is absolutely right. You need to make sure that you trade with a strategy that fits you. Swing trading fits my personality much better, for example than position trading. I hate to see a stock rise, then gove up profits during a normal pullback. When I do position trade, I set a...

    Turning 6K into 1MM+?

Mine is the amd version of the ML500, the AMG 55. The only SUV that is more robust is the new Porsche Cayenne turbo (450 hp). I was also in Amsterdam this spring, for a trade show. My first trip there- it was a great city. KT

    when to enter?

My wife prefers it when I enter with a long bar. I just end up exiting too soon. Sorry, I'm in one of those Friday afternoon moods.

    Vote Yes Or No

Thanks, Publias for your explaination. I studied Korean Zen for a while, but the koan bit was the same (basically) as the Japanese version. "What is the sound of one hand clapping?", and all that. Of course, that was a long time ago Kevin

CNBC Anchors - Worse and Worst

I'm still laughing about the idea of Sponge Bob and Patrick providing market commentary! They could bring in Squidward for special breaking stories.

    revealing your best strategies

I don't mind sharing my strategies with Satan, but I don't know if I will try his ideas! Kidding- but I couldn't resist joining the ribbing. Kevin :D

    Trading Psychology

One source that you might want to look into, is "Flow", either the book or audio tapes, by Mihaly Csikzentmiahli. It deals with the flow state, or zone, and the conditions that best foster it. Kevin

Any good books on Elliot Wave?

The only one that I have read, but it's considered to be a classic on E-waves, is the Elliot Wave Principle, by Robert Prechter. The wave theory gets a bit hard to follow at times, especially when your trying to figure what wave the market might be in at a given time. Kevin

    my story

Wow, what a great thread! I can see some common issues that we have dealt with, and would like to add my short, but painful history. I started investing in the late summer of 1999, with an account at Schwab (approx $9000). My only knowledge was based on a couple of Motley Fools books, and...

    Queston about IB TWS

Thanks for the ideas. The dial up option is my best option, as I would prefer to avoid the other "boss related" issues. :D The fireall even prevents me from accessing Schwab's home page, but I can get to it via http://www.myschwab.com, then logging in from there. It's an Excite site. I can be...

    Queston about IB TWS

Def, I have a question re IB's java based TWS. I cannot seem to access the demo at work, but have no problem at home, so I am thinking that there is an issue with my company's firewall. I also am unable to connect with Schwab's Street Smart Pro at the office, but can at home. This makes it...

    Datek Vs. Scottrade

Right now, I'm paper trading, but I don't want to limit myself to just NADAQ. Thanks for your comments though, I appreciate it. Kevin

    Datek Vs. Scottrade

mjt, Per IB's website, NYSE stocks can't be traded in odd lots, less than 100 shares. A 100 share trade would risk more than I am prepared to allow in my position sizing model. I agree that you can't beat $1.00 per trade, but their policy would limit me for the time being, to NASDAQ...

    Datek Vs. Scottrade

I have a question- I currently have my account(s) with Schwab, which has been fine, but I am now starting to swingtrade in earnest with a small account. Schwab with Velocity is fine, as I am looking at real time quotes when I place a market order, and am not concerned about a few cents here and...

    Need Advice: Setups & Monitoring

Brooks, I'd suggest that in this Market, watch breakout trades carefully. I've been swing trading the same way, and the trades turn around pretty fast. So much so, that my system expectancy has gone negative. It might be best to see that the indexes are moving up, then use that buying...
