Cheaper financing than IB's margin rates?

In order to calculate the rate, can you please post the execution date, the execution price, the width of the box and the expiration date? TIA. BTW, mid price implies 1.09% interest for $200k / May.

Cheaper financing than IB's margin rates?

When filled at the bid price shown in the picture 1977.52, this order implies a 6% interest rate for the $200k box, while when filled at the 1995.22 limit you get a more decent 1.24% interest rate but still almost twice the 3 month t-bill rate. Are there any real chances to actually get a fill...

Interactive Brokers: Snap to Midpoint Orders

You are right, it is "Buy order price = Midpoint of the Bid/Ask price - offset amount" indeed. But still doesn't make much sense.

Interactive Brokers: Snap to Midpoint Orders

Wondering if anyone has been using Snap to Midpoint Orders with Interactive Brokers https://www.interactivebrokers.ca/en/index.php?f=5934 and maybe they can share their experiences. This is the example: So, basically an IBM buy order, "SNAP MID" with 0.01 offset. With bid = 190.32 ans ask =...

How to enter spread future trades on Interactive brokers

Type the name of the futures contract (ex: ES) and hit <enter>. You will get a list with similar instruments. When you select "futures", you have 6 options. First 3 are "ES MAR", "ES JUN", "ES SEP" and more. At the end of the list you have "Futures Spreads". Use that one.

    Rolling forward futures contracts

Got it about rolling the position forward. My bad. About "fretting over a tic-or-two", 10 contracts would cost me $500 plus commission for a $1 fill. I am pretty sure that independent sell / buy orders would have slippage as well. But like I said, I am doing this for the first time and I could...

    Rolling forward futures contracts

I am supposed to keep some ES contracts a bit longer and I will probably have to roll them forward, from Mar to Jun. I can do a combo order, sell Mar and buy June, at once. I can see the price for the combo -.50 / .75 (bid / ask), and changing one or two ticks. Looking for some input from...

The discussion is about "cash" account, not margin account.

Interactive Brokers and Automatic Liquidation policy for cash / registered / non-taxable accounts

I was reading through some of the they legal disclosures documents and when they refer to "cash balance" they never specify currency. I would read this that any currency cash balance is "cash balance" and they should use that to cover fees, before liquidating positions.

Put / Call parity to collect the bond

Or in plain English: stock + put = bond + call Wondering if this really works in real life trading. Anyone doing it? What's the best way to implement it? TIA.
