It is definietly ok to get stopped out, but when I'm asleep (or others may be at work) I may not be able to re-enter the trade. So overnight trade I made, I didn't want to get stopped out from noise from CPI, and not be able to get back in. Most of my trades are for 2 pt stops with the aim of...

Ok trailing stop placed 5 points behind 1439.50, lets see if it can break through some daily pivots :) EDIT: Wow as soon as I placed my stop, bam knocked out! +10.25, not a bad way to start out the day for an overnight trade.

That's just a Freudian slip, the subconscious thinks we are getting back to 15 handle :)

Was just checking prices before I got to bed and yep, patience is key as I just picked up my long at 1426.25, small size. Stop hiding out below 1420. 2 to 1 risk ratio, target close to daily pivot point. Goodnight everyone.

I was thinking unlucky but we will only know as time goes on since I think we are close to the bottom of this current liquidity crisis.

Market is trying to break 1430 on ES, seems only a matter of time? Even though this might be the case, I think we are making a bottom here. I'm looking to get long here overnight for 1 contract (in case I am wrong) a small position for a bounce back rally. Placing trade here by 4:15 EST...

nice trade! I was looking at this entry level as well and put this trade on at 1434.50 but my trailing stop got taken out at 1435, for +.5. Probably should have given myself more room, but don't like to put trades on with not much time left in RTH.

So are you saying you risk a max of $15.000 per day and if you hit that number you close out?

Like I've said before any system that you need to lose more money to ultimately make money is a bad system. That is the best way I can describe saxon's system (see link below from previous ES entry) I wish him the best but I won't be surprised when it ends poorly. He could also make a bunch of...

DM - then please laugh to yourself and don't post. I have not yet ignored anyone on my list, but you are getting dangerously close. Jag not trying to be rude, but enough is enough.

Market fears are now getting to the point of extreme according to my indicators. I'm dipping my tow (*toe oops) in here getting long here at 1439, target 1449. Stop just below 1435. EDIT: 3pt trailing stop now on. Ps. anyone see the move in silver (looks like pricing in Fed cut as well?)...

Yea or worse, I got stopped out of my YM trade so didn't catch any of the down move and lost 20 YM points on this particular trade. Net for the day -9 YM points. Yesterday was my best day in 3 months so can't complain though :) Edit: Oh I almost forgot about my ES overnight trade that...

Out of trade at 1485.50 (mkt currently 1486.25) +5 on 1 lot. I'm probably going to regret this tomorrow but oh well. I've been super busy catching up since I got back from my trip and I'm feeling sick (probably from the plane trip back). Got to take care of my health first.

Sorry in advance if this is somewhat off topic I guess because I wish someone was there when I started trading. I started trading in 98 and watched as my Yahoo stock went from 75 (split adjusted) to around 250 and just miss my sell order, which was greedy to try to get over such a round...

Agree you want people to piggyback your trade so that the market moves in your direction. What I don't want to do is give people too much insight on where I've placed my stops not because they are going to 'get me' ... I'm way too small of a fish to bother, but it gives people ideas on where...

I'm not saying that is exactly what he did, but that is what his system looks like it does. Basically keep adding till you get that reversal for a few points and you've avg down far enough. Fortuantely it looks like he stopped mid day with enough profits, because if he had gone long again the...

Same here, most profitable day in 3 months. I'd list the trades here (after the fact obviously) but no point as I'm sure a bunch of people will just call out bs. I will list the current trade I have on... I am currently holding 1 ES lot long at 1480.50, bought at almost the close (3:54) for...
