    My Forex Journal

imo, you came to wrong forum at wrong time. Because ET isn't a good place to look for naive investors because you're talking to pros. And also if you wanted to prove that your trading skills are good and imo, you should have started your journal in the real trading time, and talk about your...

I don't know how you can make consistent profit with H4 timeframe. I mean I haven't found a way to make a consistent profit with H4 timeframe. But if you know how, that's good for you :) I don't trade on news much. The chart carries information about future price movement anyway. I use moving...

Is It a Reversal or a Pullback?

imo, when you trade, it's better not to differentiate a pb from a reversal. Whenever you detect a spike (using multiple time frames), you just exploit them. I think, for the traders who are participating in this thread, detecting a spike isn't(?) a difficult problem. But what puts traders in...

Is It a Reversal or a Pullback?

The only thing I can think of is the "law of one price" concept which you can apply when there is divergence between two short term moving averages. Market makers do step in to make price adjustment when there was an excessive volatility in prices e.g. flash clash , EURUSD on 22/Jan etc...in...

Is It a Reversal or a Pullback?

Better not underestimate the usefulness of definitions... without knowing/understanding or even creating definitions (when analyzing charts), imo there will not be consistent gains

Is It a Reversal or a Pullback?

Looking at your chart, you need to add another moving average to define a pullback... The 'area' which you've put 'long' seems to be a pullback (or weak temporary upmove) because that area has not gone through the transition phase from downtrend to uptrend yet. IMO, prior to reversal, prices...

Does anyone use a reliable FX broker?

Thanks Jack ! But I've decided to change and don't want use Australian ones. I get the same complaints about Australian ones from other traders that I know and they all want to change or have changed. Even Wiki has recently reported some corruption and misbehaving incidents by Australian ones.

Does anyone use a reliable FX broker?

Thanks LondonKid, I remember seeing you when I was studying Past ET contributors' threads (e.g. Jack Heysey, DBpheniox and Nihabashi etc). Hey guys, what brokers are you using at the moment? I am not happy with my broker in Australia. I am thinking of changing to either a UK or US one. Does anyone know a reliable broker there in terms of withdrawing money, no slippage, and a good speed in initiating and closing positions? I'll...

Hi Does anyone use oscillation indicators to trade?? A Free Strategy that works

I have done a thesis on Forex market. Although macro news will be impounded into prices in the long run, what's really driving the short term price movement (intraday) is order flow (accumulation/distribution). Indeed, when there is news, they provide good volatility to the market but they don't...

Sorry, I was just trying to tell him some cheap strategy and put less emphasize on news. Of course, news provide good volatility to the market! I do follow macroeconomic news but I do not try to analyse the news. I know if there is bad news, prices will drop and if there is good news, prices...
