    How to Learn Price Action

It's not hard to look at a gainers/losers list and find the ones with better than average volume. Again...people making things too complicated.

    How to Learn Price Action

This thread took a turn for the worse, and I don't think anyone really understands what I do which is fine. A lot of the questions I get are about specifics...what's a strong/weak stock...what settings on stoch...what chart time frames...etc. These are the details that you should decide for...

    How to Learn Price Action

There's probably 1000 ways to trade this "simple" style. Good luck with your quest.

    How to Learn Price Action

I incorporate overbought/oversold from ES into this style. I buy strong when market is weak, and sell weakness when market is strong. It's more art than science. Stuff like CCOW INAP ABX worked well today. I prefer the lower priced stuff like this over NVDA type stocks. I'm currently...

    How to Learn Price Action

Yes I mean at that point in the day it is already 2x+ average volume. This weeds out the thin stuff. All we are trying to do is find volatile stocks that are thick enough to trade and have reason to move. You can do that many ways...find what suits you.

    How you "get it" ?

I had thoughts on the topic a while back and did my best to make it clear what I think it takes a struggling trader to become profitable. I'm very profitable and what I said is the basis for my trading style. Start with my post here and read through the rest of the thread. Let me know if...

    New Prop Firm Article

Actually the SEC tried to get the court to shut down Tuco, but they said no. So the SEC strong-armed Penson instead. That's my understanding.

Lescor And Dustin, Who Lost Money At Tuco?

I just wired out $130k last week with no problem. There's no reason to think they are holding money or defaulting on anything.

What were your/my Fees + Commissions per share?

That's pretty high. Yesterdays data... 212,000 shares $1030 comm+fee =.0049 Even my rate is a bit high for this day in age.

How's everyone doing in 2008 so far?

Congrats on your success. Sounds like you know what you're doing. Regarding volume, I agree. I happen to know Eric. His gains are really impressive, one of the best traders on ET no doubt. Regarding 2002, I don't remember it being nearly as volatile as 98-00. I wish I knew then what I...

How's everyone doing in 2008 so far?

I had never seen you before on ET so I was reading over some posts. Sounds like you do 1-3M shares a month. Eric does that every day...and he was trading well before 2002. Not that he needs my defense anyway.

The fear of trading edge becoming inefficient?

You got it. I get to my computer 5 mins before the open and trade whatever opportunities the market wants to offer up.

The fear of trading edge becoming inefficient?

Edges die all the time. There was the IPO's (follow the underwriter) edge in 98-99. Then IPOs dried up. Then I had a great edge trading one stock against the futures in 00-01. That died when the market was decimalized. It took a year before I would really make any money again...

How's everyone doing in 2008 so far?

Funny, most of the guys I know who take trading seriously are having record starts to the year. It's a traders market.

Intraday money mgmt question - what would you do??

I used to quit when I was ahead years ago. It's not the right way to trade. In fact you should keep trading and up your size imo. Obviously you are in sync with the market so push it and take advantage.
