    I-pad

Welcome to America...sad http://shopping.yahoo.com/articles/yshoppingarticles/358/how-my-499-ipad-purchase-became-a-1170-credit-card-bill/ Quote: I went shopping for my very own iPad at 8:30 AM March 12, the moment it first went on sale. Having had a chance to try out the iPad at the...

    I-pad

Or *most* of my friends aren't sheeple following the masses to buy another over hyped gadget that they really have no business spending money on in the first place.

Who cares, I don't want one nor do I know anyone who does.

New guys, now is not the time

I'll trade anything with volume and volatility if I see a setup. This goes for breakouts and reversions.

New guys, now is not the time

Funny you mention that, I've thought a lot about it lately. Next time it seems like the world is ending and I'm making a lot of money I'll buy some SPY leaps or something.

New guys, now is not the time

There's been some opportunities in the small caps this past week (SERV, FONR, VIFL, etc) but otherwise trading is as dull as ever. So long as the market keeps creeping higher on no volume it will remain this way.

    Day trading article on nytimes.com

07-08 there was money falling off the trees, from the sky, and growing from the ground. All you had to do was walk around and pick it up. I'm still most interested to see how they did then. Many of us from 99-00 didn't fare nearly as well back then, in part because most of us had only been...

Grinding it out, day after day

While I appreciate that some of you guys learned from the PA thread, let's not create a RTM vs. continuation debate here. Corey has displayed that he can make consistent and large profits with RTM, so sit back with your popcorn and hope he shares more details :-) Great trading Corey!

    Weinstein Trading and Fading

I don't know if you are talking to me or Robert. Lot's of wrong assumptions here. Option 2 better describes my favored style. I prefer to add to winners. A few big trends did me in? Not even sure what that means. Either way I don't trade this style any longer because it's not worth it...

    Weinstein Trading and Fading

Like all of you I've been cringing watching Robert continue down this path. Truth is I traded very similar strategies in 07-08, and they worked great, but this style of trading DOES NOT work in this market, as witnessed by his results. The follow through just isn't there. R/R used to be great...

Risk reward ratio and winning odds

For amateurs it was a dangerous time, for experienced traders it was like shooting fish in a barrel. I'm not sure who you were referring to when saying that "we" should stay out of the market until VIX <25.

Every good trader I know would gladly support his opinion. Volatility = $$$.

    Swm - Wtf??

Yes you can call it humility. We even discussed the fear that her job may not exist soon. Specialists do not have the power you think they have...I'll leave it there.

    Swm - Wtf??

Broke my rule on revisiting the thread... I had the pleasure of chatting with a GS floor specialist on a recent Vegas trip. She said we as daytraders have more access to information, and the ability to trade on that information than specialists these days. The only time now a specialist is...

    Swm - Wtf??

Now this I believe. I'm filing this thread under the "do not revisit" category.
