    Questions for experienced daytraders

Funny how a somewhat well-worded question can still get quality responses on ET. I have a different take on the matter. The answer depends on trading style first and foremost so you can all argue until you're blue in the face but it's not going to matter. With reversion trades you usually...

    Microsoft "Bing" Shares

For tax reasons MSFT decided to only list bing shares on the Greenland stock exchange. At their current price I think you are on to something, 500% easy. Calling my broker now to see how I can get some.

    ITMN ruling, most absurd ever

NASDAQ has reviewed the transactions under rule 11890 (b) on its own motion filing involving the security InterMune, Inc (ITMN) executed between 09:30:00 and 09:31:00 ET today and has determined that all trades will stand. This decision cannot be appealed. NASDAQ MarketWatch has coordinated this...

Interesting article about trading parasites - aka HFTs

I can't imagine why anyone on a daytrading forum would worry about pennies.

I'd have to have something to gain to be a shill. Regarding the price comment, that is referencing something the site owner mentioned.

Prop firm asking for source code and strategy??

I've heard of the SEC requiring a broker to get the trader's code in regards to certain events, but never a broker flat out asking for code ahead of time. Sounds shady.

    Biggest day ever

Alright, I'll update. +73k 9/08 when SEC banned short selling -43k 2/10 when MIL rumor took it from 70-105 in minutes Needless to say, I don't trade that strategy anymore.

    Trading raw on YouTube

This is what I question. I often trade a similar fashion and you can see the odd lots filling you throughout your order. Getting filled on 2000 usually look like 200, 50, 350, 500, 50, 800, 50 etc...but with him you never see sub 100 share fills. Either I'm just not seeing it, his software...

    Trading raw on YouTube

Not saying he's not for real, but here's my observation. He's talking over his recording from earlier in the day explaining what's happening, and somehow never gets odd-lot fills. You could mimic his videos easily with a delayed demo.

    Bright Trading's new payout model

The point is that nobody cares about the OTC market. Our markets are supposed to be the best in the world and many businesses rely on that consistency and reliability every day. The current structure is fine for normal trading days, but when the shit hits the fan there's nobody left to provide...

    Markets Thrusting Sterling Overload!

Sterling sucks during high volume situations, the obvious example being flash crash. I couldn't execute anything for about 5 mins. Since then there have been a couple more times like 9/1. Obviously it's not something on the users end. If I wasn't stuck with Sterling I would happily use...

    How to Learn Price Action

Since you are long strong and short weak you just hope that the trend holds up during any extended ES move and keep the stops tight.
