Cheer up! I have some economic bad news

Out side the auto industry the role of the unions in company profitability has been somewhat overplayed, there are heaps of low wage high union membership companies still left in the US and I still feel its the rather generous tax regime for companies that have outsourced and the willingness of...

Trump can dish it,but he can't take it

I believe Donald has a soft underbelly and can be incredibly petulant when under heavy critique as witnessed during the rows over his leisure development on Scotland's East Coast . All it took was a stroppy pensioner who refused to sell up his home and land and Donald took all so personal.

Ban Tea and Coffee for More Important Foods

I cannot think of any practical or economically efficient crops that could be grown in tea producing areas that would provide the same revenue or employment and I would imagine most coffee plantations could not be readily turned over to any other crop other than some fruits.

Gaddafi, Can't Defeat Him, Can't Kill Him?

We were not aware of the Gaddafi nuke program until he scrapped it! So much for the Bush influence, the common view is that Gaddafi wanted to come back into the fold and had made all the right moves. I bet he never thought his easing of oppression would have led to rebellion. There is a lesson...

Public decapitation of Libyan soldier as crowd cheers

Never really worked in Ye Olde Days. Hang one robber another took his place it was the diminishing returns from highway robbery that stopped such acts. Criminals never really think beyond the act itself never mind the consequences and all crooks believe themselves to be superior to the law.

    Trump the fool...

The Economist is still worth the coin and its nod towards the worlds social ills (always balanced) hardly make it leftist. The Economist and the FT Weekend are still good fiscal compasses for the coming week.

My brother had a place in Newham for a while which is about 32% white and it was OK and other than a few Nigerians with attitude I can't say I felt any racial tension.

More racial violence, from across the pond.

I have never looked for videos of violent attacks but since I actually live here I can testify that whites do attack minorities and have done for many a long year. I have seen black on black, catholic on protestant and all the various Asian groups fight it out but as a white male that gets about...

More racial violence, from across the pond.

Nothing new but it happens fairly infrequently and whites are also out cruising for blacks and asians to beat up. http://story.theuknews.com/index.php/ct/9/cid/5ba58fd38447f467/id/44799181/ The above crime happened near me and are becoming more frequent.

Does ultimatum mean Iran will invade Saudi Arabia?

WND is pretty silly most of the time and again its being silly, Iran and Saudi cannot afford to go to war with each other no matter how ideologically f*cked up they both are. Not happening anytime soon folks.

Union Teachers Explain How to Push Marxism in the Classroom

And a defunct and useless discourse it is and about as pointless and uneducational as pushing creationism in the classroom. I am cool with critical thinking being taught and even handed sociopolitical discussion being encouraged but pushing Marxism is a fail.
