    Time to buy real assets

What inherent properties does gold have besides people's belief that makes it a store of value? And saying that it's been around for millenniums doesn't cut it.

    Time to buy real assets

Gold is considered money only to plutocrats and hucksters. I always find it funny how gold bugs say that gold is "REAL MONEY," yet we don't use it as legal tender anymore because it was demonetized by law just like any other fiat money. Therefore, gold is the world's first "fiat money." Why...

    Time to buy real assets

I'm not doubting that tobacco would be a trading commodity, at all.

    Time to buy real assets

If people are willing to trade for it.....

    Time to buy real assets

Yeah, that's what I think of when we discuss assets...things that will be in high demand in some sort of post-apocalyptic scenario. Gold just doesn't make the grade.

    Time to buy real assets

I've read history books and have probably forgotten more than you know about monetary history. A true study of the subject shows the idea of gold being an asset to be extremely silly.

    Time to buy real assets

I'll never understand these people who consider gold and silver to be real assets. If it came down to some sort of apocalyptic world, gold and silver would be the last thing people would seek.

Explosion of inflation under way - Are you ready Gary Cohn, Mnuchin and Ross?

Oh yeah, the stagflation era which eventually lead to damn near 18% interest rates.

Trading will be dead in next 10-20 years

And that still doesn't change how supply and demand works in markets.

Trading will be dead in next 10-20 years

Not only that, HUMANS design these technological systems, so it stands to reason that the computers are just doing what their human masters tell them to do. Which means that they're still making human decisions. Stated another way, AI is just automated human behavior.

Explosion of inflation under way - Are you ready Gary Cohn, Mnuchin and Ross?

Inflation in an environment in which interest rates are rising. Interesting.

Trading will be dead in next 10-20 years

That's what people who prognosticate doom and gloom over technology-driven trading don't understand. The behaviors of supply and demand in markets will still show themselves regardless of who's doing the trading. I've analyzed charts from as far back as the year 1200 and markets behaved the...

Trading will be dead in next 10-20 years

Two different endeavors. If that's where you're at, I don't have anything to add to this discussion.

Trading will be dead in next 10-20 years

Trading has been around for thousands of years and I'm supposed to believe that it's gonna dwindle away in the next 10-20 years?

Man goes all in ($250k) in APPL puts and live streams his reaction.

I'm glad that it's a fake account. Otherwise, I'd hope that no one would bet the house on something as uncertain as earnings.

Do Tax Cuts Create Jobs? If So, How?

Only way I can see tax cuts creating new jobs is if that money is being spent back into the economy by the people. That would in turn create demand and with higher demand comes the need to hire more people to fill that demand. That's just my theory, though.

When do you think AI will dominate trading field?

All of this electronic trading and markets still move the same as they did 100+ years ago.

Nice job of dodging what I asked.

How much do day traders make

We're here to discuss trading not give away specific methods. Some may, and that's okay if that's their thing but for the most part, people who share trading "systems" are mostly vendors and not traders.

Trump delivers again; bans immigration from 7 Muslim countries.

I don't get it. Why are we expected to take in refugees from countries that are openly hostile towards us? It matters not WHY they are hostile, that's not the question. If they have such a problem with us, why seek refuge here? This question is kind of rhetorical, btw.
