For me moving your stop to BE after only 4 ticks in any instrument seems like extremely fast. I've never known of anyone moving stop to BE so fast. I think I would get a ton of breakevens like that.

NA, please believe me my only agenda is to learn. I did not say "virtually all" because I had some other agenda. I only said it because it seemed like that to me - honestly. Maybe it's not virtually all, maybe it's "most" or "many". Your memory seems to be much better than mine.

NA, how quickly you move your stop to BE amazes me. Is it only a few ticks? Virtually in every chart where someone posted what would be a loss for them, you would say that you would already have moved your stop to breakeven anyway.

According to my posted checklist this seems to be a valid Hammer Pattern, not just a Line. Don't understand why you don't see it as such.

version77, due to your question I have adjusted rules 5 and 6. Updated Rules Checklist for White Bullish Hammer sub-groups being discussed in this thread: This will be the abbreviations: LS = Lower Shadow of a candle; B = Body of a candle, US = Upper Shadow of a candle; WH = Bullish White...

I have this question about Engulfings. Lets take a Bullish Engulfing. What if the first candle in the pattern is a doji ie. no body and the second "engulfs" it up - would this still be considered a Bullish Engulfing?

And now I will summarize all "revealed" rules for white hammer pattern. The purpose is that this will be the checklist that I evaluate the pattern with and that next time there won't be this situation where I'm not using some rule that you're using and mentioned somewhere earlier. So please...

Actually, I have written them down. And I've carefully read your every post on candlesticks on ET. And it's still not easy. If someone is better at grasping this material than me then I ask them to post on this thread to help me and others understand better. Pulling rules out of many different...

The upper shadow of the DIH, must "engulf" previous candle's Body. Correct?

Yea, I misinterepreted the rule. I thought the LS of the DIH should be lower than the O of the most recent white WRB. It looks like you meant that it has to be higher.
