I´m curious if someone uses Sierrachart or NT for day trading stocks with IB.

I had the same problem yesterday on GNTC when using IB´s datafeed with motivewave community editon. The 1m chart wasn`t backfilled for some minutes. If i were in a trade this would have been a nightmare. I came to the conclusion not to trade with IB´s datafeed when using a third party software...

It works well for me. Had no issues using IB´s datafeed. What i appreciate is the fact that you get even second based charts (5s, 10s, 15s etc.). Sierra is very solid and quick. Charts are loading immediately and you can use sierra´s datafeed for the past (backfill). Only the last 10-15 minutes...

Does Amibroker know this :-) ? Couldn´t find any information about this on amibroker´s homepage. But it´s really interesting.

When day trading stocks with IB i prefer the combination of Tradingview/Booktrader or Sierrachart alone I tend to use sierrachart alone because i have not to switch to another application for order entry. I would like to know, what you prefer.

In my opinion TC 2000 can stream the entire NASDAQ, NYSE, AMEX. Don´t know if you need the data for your own application.. If not TC 2000 maybe the cheapest choice, 44 $ for realtime.

Paid. I also saw these spikes on my TWS chart but not on the TOS Chart.

Hello, can someone take a look on the premarket TradingView chart of SPI today (10.15.2020) Between 08:06 and 08:12 i get three strange candles on the premarket chart with a lot of spikes. On TOS i don´t see not such candles. Has TV a problem premarket? I need reliable data. Thanks

TC 2000

Total nightmare. Glad i´m trading with IB, but use tos charts. At first i could log in but got no realtime charts. After trying to restart the platform i couldn´t login. Great. For those with open positions it must be a nightmare. Was is it possible to close positions on the mobile app?

Hello, my question refers to the premarket trading. As i know during premarket only limit orders are allowed. There is a button on booktrader named "Close Position". When buying a stock premarket and wanting to get out later is this possible by clicking this button? I guess by clicking this...

I think TC 2000´s easyscan runs much faster as the tos scanners. I noticed several times that some stocks which fulfill the tos scan criteria showed up with a delay of some minutes. That´s insufficent for daytrading because the train has already left the station ;-) . TC 2000´s easyscan shows...

I couldn´t figure out how to set up a tick chart in tws. The lowest timeframe is 10 seconds. Ticks cannot be selected. Is there a possibility to use IB´s tickdata with Sierra Chart?

What sofware do you use? I use SierraChart, which also can show 1 second premarket charts.

IB has a good scanner which shows the premarket movement and volume. Also Tradingview has a good one. I find Trade-Ideas too expensive for only looking at premarket movement and volume. I´m not sure which one would be better medvedtrader or sierrachart. When using IB´s datafeed SC might be a little bit more expensive ($ 35 for service package 6). For using an extra datafeed in Medvedtrader you have the option to subscribe to quotemedia (historical tick data for $28) or to SC´s...

When using SC for daytrading stocks would you recommend SC´s realtime datafeed or would IB´s datafeed be sufficent? I know that IB`s datafeed is not tick by tick but couldn´t find a discussion about SC´s datafeed qualitiy here.
