Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Don't think it is a puzzle as such. Though if you really want to find out you may have to kiss the item that produced the below: She might even enjoy it, i guarantee you will not. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Afterall there's allready been a satisfied customer apparently.

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

What a great reply, more so if it is an original one. (Not antagonising TO, just posted at exactly the same time)

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

I guess it is easy to doubt, even ridicule, what we don't understand, i try hard not to fall into that trap, not just in trading but in all aspects of life. However it is very hard to adhere to that rule with some posters.

Fantastic! Simple words? maybe...but the meaning is worth a million dollars, well to me at least. Thank you.

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

It would appear to me from what i've seen so far that intraday stock charts are easier to trade as they seem to respect classic patterns and trendlines a lot more than currencies or even indicies. You are welcome to correct me if i'm wrong.

I must add, another major S/R line exists between the second and third from top, the green TL did not exist at time of entry long, only after new high was made.

Thank you for the detailed answer, no i don't get all the details yet, but i will, once i taken my time to think it over (it does take time when you're a bit slow):)

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us If long my first entry would be at the bottom of the consolidation with second entry at the BO, depending on the history of the rest of the chart and any possible news coming out, stops moved to BE on the bottom entry and i would either exit one lot on the...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us Question: why go long on chart above? We will be going against the immediate trend, what is different about this minor formation?

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

What i would like to see happen, i would take a stab at a long entry at the lower support line with tight stop, or an entry long at the marked place above the second line with a wider stop. Classic and predictable i know...

Without a doubt, me.(non rhetorically) I should have kept my trap shut and not have added fuel to the fire.

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Even better, being duped by the so called "experts" to divulge all your trading knowledge in an attempt to help newbies. A public forum is no place for sharing specifics, you might not think the knowledge you accumulated over the last 5 years is valuable, after all you're not consistently...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Yes you are right, knowing when you are wrong on these situations is hard as fakes happen on levels like that often, i have experienced first hand what happens when i have tried to find the bottom on a trade just like that before, sitting there looking at it on hindsight thinking what a fool i'd...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

The S/R lines drawn whole way through i drew prior to any trading (without looking at any more price history). Hint: the first KR marked with the first green arrow, buying evident off the support( i'm sure intraday pattern would be there as well with better R/R to buy) The intermediate line...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

One i just played now and made a mess of, i won't explain what the marks on the chart mean, you all are experienced enough to know where the entries should have been and why..

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

I don't remember! without the benefit of intraday trading you have to exit as soon as you get a hint of wrong direction, that is unless you are near a good S/R, where you might have a chance of salvaging the trade somewhat. Overnight can be brutal huh? I don't trade Daily and definetely not...
