    Ms. Mae’s Trade Strategy

I think you should check your initial hypothesis. You may have it backwards. What I mean is that your entry signal should be momentum ignition when price begins to seperate from these multiple MA's. You are viewing the end of momentum as a fading opportunity to enter a trade. End of momentum...

Relax, Junk Bonds Aren’t Predicting a Market Crash

Us treasury yield curve is growing more flat and bearish. Seems the fat kid is on the long duration side of the yield see-saw and his ass may hit the ground in the near future. New government borrowing will be cheap in 2018. Seems a lot of interest to increase duration and accept such poor...

High Muscle Strength Drops Cancer Chances by 30%

The one thing I worry about is the effects on blood pressure of lifting what is even in the 8-10 rep set range. I have to start measuring mine during and hours post workout. My BP is 120/80 at rest without meds, but intuition tells me to watch out for this. I would think, but wouldn't know...

Reverse engineering why indicators don't work

I dont know what big professional money does from my recliner but I would think a big volume Breakout (as advertised ) is the last thing a pro would want to operate in. The big volume on a day bar is probably thin liquidity at all the prices (volume at price indicator?) for the large volume day...

Chronic stress skews decision toward high-risk/high-benefit

Could time , or lack of it, be considered stress that causes poor decisions? Bucket list skydiving may not be wise. Playing catch up in December to achieve the year end numbers of your peers. Playing catch up at 55 years old so you can retire at 62 years old. Who here hasn't hurried to cross a...

Chronic stress skews decision toward high-risk/high-benefit

That link does not work on my device. It's possible stress leads to stress aversion so get rich or get poor quickly to end the stress.

How to use MACD as confirmation to EMA cross

Maybe what that system is implying is trade with the trend and use the MACD above zero condition to assist with the definition of trend. Just an example..if you use MACD 12,26,9 default do YOU define "with" trend when the 12 crosses the 26 and stays there? MACD is now above zero after the cross...

The Limits of 'Made in America' Economics

Seems to me that the US focus on trade with Asia is to leverge the current trade deficit to gain more access to markets and sectors in China especially but also Skorea and Vietnam. Unequal FDI is the administrations definition of the "trade" problem and negotiations appear IMO to be focused on...

TA: Parameters will make or break a situation

You ust be talking about stocks where positioning and no new negative catalysts account for bullish patterns to complete and behave as YOU expect. There seems to be other markets or assets such as gold, currencies , bonds where new, significant data is entering the market and more likely to...

    Volatility Trade - countertrend

Is there any or some degree of truth that volatility can be manipulated and controlled by well....you know Citadel, Fed sock puppets , central banks and rally stake holders in general? I am under the spell to some degree that volatility futures are a small market relative to the size of the...

Does TA work better or worse on lower or higher time frames?

Techs and specs may operate on patterns intraday where liquidy is a smaller but relative thing. Less price sensitive big orders need liquidity and would need to operate in areas where other big boys can provide liquidity as well. When I think of momentum rushes to new price levels, single or few...

Partial TPs/Scaling out/Exit half, your thoughts?

I did this once. AOL in March 1999. Dot coms taking turns exploding. AOL weird rounding flag type consolidation at around 100 near a 52 week high. this was a bery bullish consolidation and the stock seemed to be done correcting. i bought here and added again and a third on the breakout to 125 ...

What if "one" across a thousand trades is not as good as "two" across a thousand trades. Or, are we talking your personal sun, moon and stars aligning for this special"one". Isnt "one" different after capitulation followed by strong momentum vs. "one" after the "dead cat bounce" What if "one"...

Opinion: The tax bill deserves to die

Seems to me to be futher stimulus. Who can control how a corporation decides to seek the best return on a dollar? I am inclined to believe a public company would use a dollar to manage debt and their public float.
