    T. Boone Pickens blows up!!! Portfolio shattered, fund closed...

He claimed he was short oil when it was at $100 (on the way up) and then said he was long when it was at $140. Both times he tried to talk his book and justify his positions. Now all he talks about is wind and the Pickens plan. He's lost it.

I can't help but wonder, if it ever got to the point where you had to do that, what grocery store would still be doing business? Wouldn't the looters, or worse - the invading armies - have cleaned them out by then? :D

It's on PBS? Let me save you the trouble of watching............... They will say it's all George W. Bush's fault and if Al Gore had been elected this would never have happened and the world would be frolicking around in love with one another and no global warming and........................

    Tradestation Fibonacci (Logarithmic Problems)

In the very small chance that you are not a troll and are actually asking this question, I'll bite. Fib retrace is based on percentage moves in price. A given percentage of any number will be the same amount regardless of what scale you use, log or linear. Ex: Why would you expect 50% of...

    Could JPMorgan be nationalized?

Yeah, that's where the irony comes in to play.

    Could JPMorgan be nationalized?

Seems ironic, considering that it was JP Morgan himself who saved the US banking system from collapse in 1907.

Did Anyone Here See 'House of Cards' with Marc Faber (CNBC Special)?

Is Marc Faber actually interviewd in this thing? If so I would like to DVR it. But I think the OP might be confused with David Faber, the host, who actually bores me to tears.

    im long some RIMM

Not looking for a dirty bomb. But if the market crashes Tuesday I'm positioned for it. If the market rallies hard, I'm positioned for that too. It's not neccessary to guess at unpredictable events.

    Charts for Options

To answer your question without adding an opinion you didn't ask for; Yes there is. It depends on your software/platform. Ex: Scottrade does not, Tradestation does. No idea about free web-based.

Stimulus plan passes congress; Black Tuesday.

You are right. Rallied to the 200 day in 1930, then didn't touch it again until the breakout in 1932.

    im long some RIMM

Incredibly dangerous thought pattern. Who says this is a bottom? Who says the market, and RIMM can't go lower? Be careful. I remember when people were loading up on Lucent when it "bottomed" at $50 and $40 and $30 and $20 and $10 and $5 and $3 and...................................................
