Maybe, maybe not. I can't count the number of people who have told me how badly their accountants have f**cked up their taxes over the past few years. Even if you get advice from a lawyer or accountant you should still double check, just because they have a degree/certification or whatever...

Just to update everyone, I tried several VPS options and none were trustworthy enough. They would randomly reboot during the day. Not a good thing for a trading bot host. I ended up going with a dedicated server from Sago Networks. I got a dual core with 2 GB of RAM for $109 a month...

Try to automate your trading? Then all you have to do is monitor the system (or set it up to notify you if there's a problem).

Depends on your point of view. If you don't want your broker hosting people who overmargin and blow up, then it's a good thing.

Thanks for the info. Been trading crude for 2+ years now, never noticed this before. Weird. Guess my systems were never in the market on a Tuesday night when there was a big move.

Sorry to say it, but get your credit score up! There's plenty of info on the internet how to do it. Once you get it up, get margin but don't use it unless you are consistently profitable.
