Some margins back to 50%, but TWS still 100%

Thanks. I had looked at that page before and didn't see anything different and now I see that many are different. On the IB Intraday Margin Requirements page it still says in red letters: "Due to the exceptional volatility of the financial markets we are temporarily suspending reduced...

    What's wrong with DUG?

I gave a full explanation back on 07/04/08. "In particular DUG is supposed to match double the inverse performance of the Dow Jones Oil & Gas Index." The DJUSEN stock index is currently UP 0.42%, hence DUG DOWN about 1%.

I daytraded an S&P, just to try it, and I didn't liked it...

I fully understood from your starting post what you did with ES and are doing with ETFs, hence my question. So, I will try again with the question. What stops you from position/swing trading ES? If you can position/swing trade ETFs, then you can position/swing trade ES.

Emini S&P synthetic position margin requirment

Delta on the futures contract is 1 and delta on the long put (20 points OTM) is about minus 0.35, giving your postion a delta of 0.65. Overnight futures margin is $4500, so non-SPAN margin would be $2925. SPAN margin of $3500 to $4000 should not be a suprise. If you want a lower margin...
