Perhaps an indication of something at least for liquid options. But if it's liquid options then one can't really tell if it's BOX, or if it's IB's penny options that brought the results.

Were you using the max of your buying power at that time? Could it be they liquidated you at market, and selected the order that you were in the process of placing?

Unless IB is claiming that you should have done a trade bust within 20-30 minutes and failed, they don't have a leg to stand on. But even with that, it was not your mistake. IB seemingly will have no choice but to credit you.

(sorry tef8, deleted this to place it after your response to Bitstream) How does this make sense? If you place an order to sell-to-close at $.62 sense, it appears as a $.65 order, and not for any less!? Was the problem in TWS?

We've been trying to sell 100 QQQQ Jan 60 calls (purchased by mistake) at $.03 for a week, and are now trying to sell them for $.02. Nobody would know about if not for the order book of IB. I think $.02 is a good price. I hope people actually review the order book properly.

Do brokers who don't offer price impvmt for options to their customers: a) keep it themselves, b) get payment for order flow so they choose some other exchange, c) or some other factor?

Are you sure IB does not charge anymore? E.g. they charge for BOX on equity options, although my understanding is BOX doesn't charge.

Thanks for the info. As per the thread, I didn't mean QQQQ as much as I meant specialist.

QQQQ at $44.00 is actually what prompted this thread. E.g., if 90% of traders were bearish, but the specialist wants to unload his stuff, does he have enough ideas up his sleeve to keep the price up?

Are you experiencing the same problem? When right mousing "BUY" and trying to press "modify" to place an after hours order, the whole box jumps away.
