I just got an account statement in which the matter was resolved. Seems to me there was a bit of a problem with my margin on my overnight positions. (not enough of it ;-)) Still a confusing way to show this as a loss on this particular trade.

I prefer ES premarket, better spread than YM. And YM during market hours because it trades a bit smoother and a bit lower commissions

How about an account at a proprietary trading firm? For example say you trade with 100k now Open an account at a prop shop with 20k, get 5x margin, put 80k in a savings account. If the world comes to an end. You´ll have 80k left ;-)

A market order in a crash? You´ll get a horrible fill.

How about $100k in T-Bonds, to use as a collateral to borrow 11,861,500 yen at 1,5%. Use the yen to buy T-bonds. Use these T bonds as collateral to borrow more yen, hedge every 12mil yen with 1 JY long. Repeat ad infinitum. PS I just called citibank and they won´t lend me any Yen :(
